Some interesting thoughts, however, I didn't like Mr. Bush's immigration policies when he he was running in 2000. But I voted for him. Still don't like his policies; will still vote for him.

Same here. Much as I dispise this new policy, I don't see any of the dems offering anything better, and in most cases theirs is probably worse. This is the problem, the dems have become so radically leftist that no sane person would vote for them. The unintended consequence is that GW and the republicans are now free to move left in order to capture the mushy middle. In short the center of gravity in US politics is so skewed to the left that even someone considered moderate 20 yrs ago, is now seen as right wing.

At this point I have to hold my nose and vote for Bush, if only for the splended job he did in the war on terror abroad, but he's really selling us down the river in the domestic war on terror.

I think what we need is a TRUE conservative to help bring things into balance, I'm afraid that the voters have become so used to big government liberal ways that it may be too late.

No wonder Big Stupid Republican Government keeps getting bigger, dumber and much more expensive.

America is just getting too stupid and passive to even consider the possibility that we used to be free.
