Interesting. We are seeing an orchestrated campaign to get leftwing wackos to endorse Clark.
This isn't about Clark. It's about fracturing the wacko support of Howard Dean.
Somebody wants to make sure that Mad How does not control the party after the Rat defeat this year.
Could it be Satan?

An endorsement from George "I got five electorial college votes" McGovern? If Clark had any brains he'd keep as far away from this looser as he possibly could. Better yet, he could've told McGovern to go endorse one of his opponents. Or go endorse Bush and put the jinx on him.
Getting an endorsement from old george is like getting an endoresment from osama bin laden, saddam or momar quadaffi. Or worse yet - from the french.
It looks like the past dem loosers are putting on clean depends and coming out of their personal care facilities. I wonder who dukakis, mon-dull and jimmy the peanut are going to endorse?
BTW, I noticed carol mostly-wrong endorsed Dean. She threw all of her 0.000000000000000000000000001% of the electorate behind him.

McGovern endorses Clark so that Bush will be the first President to sweep the lower 48, except DC. In other words, a record that trumps the McGovern record, so he will no longer be the whipping boy for every potential landslide elections.

"McGovern endorses Clark...so he will no longer be the whipping boy for every potential landslide elections." I like your logic! If so, that means he's been waiting for this day for 30 years.. :-)

(Apropos of nothing) I recall being surprised by the kind warmth of McGovern's statements about Richard Nixon on TV right after Nixon's death.
To: Lonesome in Massachussets
Not many people remember that a young Bill Clinton was heavily involved in the McGovern campaign. This is just a payback to Clinton by McGovern.
To: NutCrackerBoy
"I recall being surprised by the kind warmth of McGovern's statements about Richard Nixon on TV right after Nixon's death." Yes...George is one the last remaining survivors of pre-"politics of destruction Clintonista" gang members takeover of the Democrat party.
He's a nice guy, no doubt. Just not qualified to be POTUS.

Not many people remember that a young Bill Clinton was heavily involved in the McGovern campaign. In these parts he's known as "Landslide" McGovern. Or more commonly simply, "Is he still alive?" McGovern.
To: Recovering_Democrat
McGovern called Clark a, "Brilliant Rhoades Scholar." Yet according to Rick Atkinson's
The Long Grey Line about the West Point class of '66, Clark was a staunch advocate of America's "noble cause" in Vietnam, and felt a sense of personal shame in America's having abandoned an ally.
Though of course that's once again "consistent" with Clark's view now...whatever it is.
It appears more and more that Clark doesn't even know what he thinks, about anything.

With endorsements from both George McGovern AND Madonna, Clark is sure on a roll. Who will Michael Dukakis and Walter Mondale endorse?--enquiring minds want to know.
To: The Great RJ
Remember, to us these people are losers. To the Dems they are gods. Clark should be getting knee slapping kudos from Dems coast to coast for this.

The US did shamefully abandon an ally. McGovern's party added insult to injury, as chronicled in Ann Coulter's Treason. Anyway, what's your point?
To: NewLand
If I remember correctly, McGovern wasn't very enthusiastic about Clinton back in 1992...but that may have been because of Clinton's pseudo-centrism more than anything else.
Still eagerly waiting to hear the endorsements from Eagleton, Mondale, Ferraro, and Dukakis.

I'll bet that Dean is crushed. He got endorsements from Gore, Carter and Dukakis and was hoping to get endorsements from all of the major Democratic losers.
