I was recently talking with someone (Leftist) who had participated in a management seminar and played a "team-building" game which (he said) renewed his faith in democracy and the power of the people -- he was shown that a group is always smarter than the smartest individual within the group.

In the real world, the truth is that "Team-Building" generally is a method of stealing sharing the credit and spreading the blame.

A further reality is that the "smartness" of the group (herd) is usually the IQ of the brightest individual divided by the number of "Team Players".

Europe's best and brightest scientific minds are leaving in droves for the U.S. — and billions of euros and thousands of jobs are at stake.

To listen to the Democrats, there are no jobs for these people.

All the jobs are going overseas.

These people are coming to America for the same reasons Europeans have always come - freedom, social and economic.

The title was how to stop it, but the funny thing is, they either did not propose a solution, or the solution would make the problem worse.

Implicit in the article is the fact that the solution is for the EU to become more like the US- entrepreneurial and risk-taking instead of socialistic and risk-averse. Until the Europeans grasp that fact no amount of increased funding will change the trend of the best brains migrating here.

What I suspect they want to do is to export their bureacracy here.

What's more disturbing is that the Democrats will be happy to import it.

America, the real European Union.

Considering how many Indian and Chinese doctors I work with it's more like the real United Nations.

Oh, and a tax cut wouldn't hurt, either.

Why do you think the UN wants to make emigrant pay income taxes to the countries the emigrated from as well as punnish low tax countries?
