Call me old-fashioned, but the best romantic love lasts years longer than it takes to eat a box of chocolates. And keeping it strong is often difficult, emotionally challenging work.

That

Yeah good point!

One of my gym teachers in H.S. was butch. Everyone knew she was a lesbian. She was a good teacher. It seemed she was always lurking around when we would take showers. She was really husky and had the body frame more like a man. When I was 21, I saw her at a popular bar with a whole bunch of her butch friends. The just got finished playing softball. She still looked the same, only more musclular. Just by observing, their demeaner is more manish than lady-like.

Every year MCC unites some 6,000 gay couples

My BS meter is off the screen. They do 16.4 gay marriages a day? Plus how many strait marriages? Vegas chappels can't even do that.

Oh, I think that's a figure for the nationwide church membership, not one particular congregation. So the MCC, which according to the article has 43,000 members, comprises one-seventieth of 1 percent of the U.S. population. Not quite the mythical 10 percent figure thrown about, but this is a church we're talking about.

I am in a relationship with a beautiful and loving partner. My significant other and I can frequently be seen together at social events and cultural events around town. Because of the stares and unheard whispers of those around us, I feel it is necessary to shout it out ... "we are together, and you must all acknowledge our togetherness!"

My partner and I have gone from being almost completely closeted to being out as a couple to waiters, neighbors, car salesmen, subway riders, co-workers, politicians and most everybody else we encounter. People need to know! It is essential that we tell everyone. We are together. We have sex. We hold hands. We shower together. I think I may put up a web site that has photos of all the things we do together because, dammit all, you people HAVE to not just acknowledge our togetherness, you have to CELEBRATE IT!!!

And we are going to be in your face with it until you respond to our satisfaction! There are millions like us, and we are sick of hiding our love and affection in our own closet, bathroom, laundry room, bedroom, garage, and kitchen, and even once in the attic. We are OUT and PROUD! And we will not stop shouting it from the rooftops until you alter every single thread that holds society together and shift the focus on US. Me and my partner are the central focus of energy in the universe. You are all our audience! Get used to it.

I don't care if we have to completely destroy any semblance of societal decorum and custom! I don't want you just minding your own business as if me and my love life are no concern of yours. Nothing else matters but me and my partner and having our lifestyle be the central focus of YOUR life. It is not enough for my partner and I to just share our love with each other. It must be shared with you! And you MUST acknowledge it! Or else you are a narrow-minded, bigoted, hater!

Freedom to Marry Week, which embraces Valentine’s Day and runs from Feb. 9 to 15.

I can't believe nobody commented on this.

Yes, I fine example in your own words of the sin of pride. Nobody has to agree or adhere to your lifestyle choice so GET USED TO THAT!

Gays should come out on Valentine's Day

And visit Disney on Father's Day, apparently.

They hijack father's day at disney and now they want to hijack valentine's day.

Those who are public want those "in" to committ professional suicide. Everyone is cannon fodder to their social cause.

weddings that in the words of the Rev. Troy Perry “are recognized by God ... but not by the civil authorities.”

This is great news, great news indeed. Can I come with my dog?

Shalom.

Your dog wouldn't happen to be named "Stains" would it?

Oohhh, good catch.

I can almost see the conversation.

Deb: (to waiter) Joyce and I are lesbians, you know.

Waiter: (to Deb) Sometimes, when nobody's looking, I pick my nose and eat the booger. Can I bring you something to drink?

Shalom.

That better not have been some kind of hateful, beastophobic comment on your part because if it was I might have to ask JimRob to banish you.

What I do with my dog in the privacy of my own home is nobody's business but mine and mine alone.

But if you try to oppose my efforts to marry my dog and give her spousal benefits then I'm gonna have you censored and charged with a hate crime and thrown in prison for life because you decided to worry about something that is none of your business anyway.

Shalom.

Fine, just don't call her a bitch after the ceremony or she's liable to take half of everything you own.

Why do faggies always have to announce to everyone that they are gay.

Because they want approval for something they believe to be wrong.
