Many were civilians killed BY NATO bombing.

Yeah, that's it--ethnic Albanians killed in Kosovo were being taken into Serbia and secretly buried so Slobo could hide evidence of NATO war-crimes! That sure makes sense!

those scum were terrorists and al-Qaeda or CIA

Destro, interesting that you call our CIA "scum" and the equivalent of Al Qaeda.

Why is it so difficult for you to support Serbian citizens (Serbian court) to try a Serbian citizen (accused Slobo) for crimes against Serbian citizens (Albanian minority, among other citizens) in Serbia (Kosovo & Metohija province)???
And, it's easy for you to support cleansing Serbian citizens from Serbia (what currently NATO & UN is about to accomplish in Kosovo & Metohija province) and at the same time support settlement of foreigners (mostly from Albania) in Serbia???

Plain simple, you are a horrible person on a mission.

The Serbs murdered plenty of innocent Albanian citizens -- no doubt about that. Just like Lincoln did to the Confederate States of America, Milosevic put down an insurrection. Unfortunately he sanctioned state-sponsored murder to protect the state per his constitutional duties.

...

You can't blame Serbs for defending Yugoslavia -- which all in all was a pretty nice place. You can't blame Albanians for seeing their chance to redress Great Power wrongs committed long before the modern Yugoslav state was created and going for it.

Ha!  Fusion, your post sounds like the voice of reason on this thread!!  :-)

I know the Hawk has been staying in the Philippines for some time but I thought he was helping the government there hold back the tide on the Islamic really extreme extremists in the south.  Was he involved in that mutiny by some Philippine Army officers?  Perhaps you can post a thread on the situation there and enlighten us as to who the good guys are in the Philippines.

Besides, what's Mr. D doing involved in an "overthrow" of President Arroyo?  He may miss his chance.  Looks like she's going to be voted out of office this May anyway for former President Estrada's movie star buddy.

JD Hayworth?  Never heard of him before.  Against Hillary?  Tough to say at this point who will be the Republican successor to GW but I find this prediction unlikely.

Where are all the Russian forces South of the Terek River that were there six weeks ago?

Hopefully hot on the trail of Shamil Basayev!!!  As per your prediction, I'm still anticipating Shamil Basayev to deposit Allah's suitcase in Moscow on February 1st!

Oh, and you still haven't explained why you think the capture of Saddam Hussein was a setup!

It's difficult for the same reasons I couldn't support an Afghani court trying Bin Laden, as the Taleban was proposing, before we removed them from power: Until there had been an extensive overhaul of the local judiciary, the prospects of justice being done were nonexistent.

Now the case is changing, but Slobo's trial is already underway, and remanding it back to Serbia in mid stream merely to assuage bruised egos isn't going to happen.

support cleansing Serbian citizens

Wrong answer. Simply because I refuse to accept a whitewashing of Milosevic's crimes, does not mean that I support similar crimes perpetrated against ethnic Serbs by whomever, so it's not as plain or simple as you make it out to be.

Because one understands what's happening to the Arabic communities in the Kurdish areas of Iraq doesn't mean one condones it - same same with the aftermaths of the various wars in the Balkans.

They don't even give us the names and autopsy reports for these bodies. How do we know if they were KLA fighters or not?

Also, these bodies may have been dug up in Kosovo and then sent to Serbia for storage after the Milosevic government fell and the western installed puppet government was in power. There's never been any footage or pictures - from Serbia or international reporters of the graves or digging bodies up either.

There was a mass grave of Serbs and Roma in Dragodan (sp) cemetery in Kosovo who were killed after the war. The initial report by the UN was 900, but after that report, the UN was pressured to lower the number. A few Serbs were identified and transferred to Serbia. One was a woman, Petrija Pavlovic, who was last seen being taken by the KLA after the war.

Without publically identifying these bodies and giving the autopsy reports, we don't know if they were killed in battle or not, or what really happened.

To say that there were not atrocities in Kosovo is to be blinded by your prejudice of Muslims or hatred of Clinton.

BINGO! That's exactly what it is. Hatred, pure and simple, on full display. Destro's a master at hate.

Serbia is starting to face up to the crimes of the Milosevic regime. Maybe it is time for some FReepers to do the same.

This is a highly biased political hit piece. Propaganda and not very subtle.

Old Europe is not becoming irrelevant - politically, economically or culturally.
The population of the EU is larger than that of the US. And as you may have noticed, the Euro has been gaining value compared to the American dollar.

Okay... qualifier for going it alone (more or less)
25% of the 197 countries of the world are on board.
Population numbers from CIA World Fact Book (Numbers in Millions)
Afghanistan 27.7
Albania 3.5
Angola 10.7
Australia 19.7
Azerbaijan 7.8
Bulgaria 7.5
Colombia 41.6
Costa Rica 3.8
Czech Republic 10.2
Denmark 5.3
Dominican Republic 8.7
El Salvador 6.4
Eritrea 4.3
Estonia 1.4
Ethiopia 66.5
Georgia 4.9
Honduras 6.6
Hungary 10.0
Iceland .2
Italy 57.9
Japan 127.2
Kuwait 2.1
Latvia 2.3
Lithuania 3.5
Macedonia 2.0
Marshall Islands .05
Micronesia .1
Mongolia 2.7
Netherlands 16.1
Nicaragua 5.1
Palau .02
Panama 2.9
Philippines 84.6
Poland 38.6
Portugal 10.1
Romania 22.2
Rwanda 7.8
Singapore 4.6
Slovakia 5.4
Solomon Islands .5
South Korea 48.2
Spain 40.2
Tonga .1
Turkey 68.1
Uganda 25.6
Ukraine 48.0
United Kingdom 60.0
United States 290.3
Uzbekistan 25.9
Total (49 of 197) 24.8%
Population (1,251.67 of 6,302.3) 19.8%
So approximately 20% of the world is on board.

My bad. 20 - 25% of the world beats the hell out of "Going it Alone".
Battle deaths: 601 Total (504 American or 83%)

I had a friend who served in the Army in Kosovo on the clean up detail. He told me many horror stories about picking up dead bodies for weeks. These were not people killed by US bombs, they were thousands and thousands of people killed on Milosovic's orders. My friend told me that they picked up bodies for two weeks in one location. When it was all cleaned up, he thought it was over. Then they went to another location. This went on for two months.

These were probably bodies killed in the aftermath of NATO's bombing - during the "revenge" phase, and also bodies fallen during the fights. If he was "picking up bodies" then it doesn't sound like they were even buried. He might have been picking up very recent killings going on even after he arrived. The German KFOR actually came upon a fresh torture and killing scene of Serbs and Roma, after NATO took over:
Simmering tensions between Kosovo Liberation Army fighters and Nato troops battling to restore the rule of law threatened to boil over last night, after German troops discovered a dead man and 15 others who had been badly beaten in a building occupied by the KLA. The dead man, in his seventies, was found handcuffed to a chair in the police headquarters in the southern Kosovo city of Prizren. Some of the injured men were handcuffed to radiators or left with their hands tied behind their backs; others had been locked into offices. All bore signs of mistreatment and possibly torture.

What are you, a Milosevic shill?

Sadly they are all over this forum, and have recruited many "useful idiots" among conservatives.

So, some KLA members go over the edge right at the end of a 2 month campaign of ethnic cleansing, and this is supposed to what... justify what the Serbian forces had done.

I think Physicians for Human Rights States it best in their summary of findings http://www.phrusa.org/past_news/kexec.html:

It is clear from this study that until Serb forces departed, to be an ethnic Albanian in Kosovo was to be vulnerable to theft, destruction of property, separation from family members, sexual violations, killing, beating, torture, and/or deportation for no reason other than one's ethnic identity. Such was the lot of many of those whom PHR interviewed. Such accounts of suffering, individually and collectively, are a powerful testimony to the cruelty, thoroughness, and extraordinary breadth of Milosevic's war against unarmed and helpless Kosovar Albanian men, women, and children.

Hey, can you post a pic of those Albanian freezer truck victims? I am sure such a crime is well documented with exumation photos all over the internet. What color was the truck? Why has no one been charged with the dead of these 800 people? Is it because they were refugees fleeing NATO into Serbia and because of that NATO made them a target? All Albanians fleeing into Serbia undermined the rational for war and thus were targeted while reporters and medical convoys from other nations going into Kosovo were also attacked. For the Serbs were able to move THOUSANDS of bodies (I know something about logistics) would require not onlya fleet of trucks but a fleet of drivers all while NATO's mighty airforce killed anything on wheels that moved and while they bombed precious fuel reserves. If the Serbs were able to do all that then they are magicians of the highest calibre.

The Freezer Truck Hoax

Such low numbers are hardly worthy of the claims for action made based upon them. To have heard CNN in justifying Clinton's petty war one would have thought we were talking about thousands upon thousands as in Iraq.

We certainly have seen the standards for action raised by the RATmedia haven't we? Wonder why stopping the Islamaniac invasion of Europe rates so low upon the elites list of problems?
