Not all, but maybe many. In 1918 throught 1919 the spanish flu killed approximately 20,000,000 globally. There have been other flu pandemics in history. Some strains of the flu are true killers.

Sources indicate that a case of avian flu has occurred in one of the poultry farms in the Eastern Province. This case was completely confined to the farm, which made it easy to eliminate the virus using various preventive methods. This line sounds like it came straight from a Chicom playbook.
