I didn't know much about him until he went to Tampa. I thought he was a joke from the time he called a press conference because the Jets were coming to town. I about danced the jig when I heard he was benched. I can't stand inflated egos.
That being said, I am hoping Sapp gets a new home next year. He is past his prime and his ego is getting the best of him.
Not that I don't need help.
It's more than apparent that you need help, but you could possibly drive psychiatrists to seek phychiatric treatment themselves.
BTW - That's a complement.
Romey was on Key bigtime a few years back for the latter's incredibly low score in a football IQ test at the pre-draft NFL combine. ....The lowest score of any player there, in fact.
That will never happen. Before you know it, the NFL will be known as The National Felon League.
If he disguises himself as a football, Keyshawn will never catch him.
Reporter: "So your four fumbles didnt contribute to the loss?"
Leon/Keyshawn: "Not if my teammates would have fallen on the ball. Leon can't do it all."
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson allegedly tried to assault and threatened to kill a Richmond man who is dating his ex-wife, according to court records.
John Mahannah Jr., 31, has obtained a restraining order in Alameda County Superior Court that requires the 6-foot, 4-inch, 220-pound NFL star to stay at least the length of one football field away from the Richmond man and his two small children.
Johnson, who was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night by two men outside a South Berkeley barbershop, began traveling in the Bay Area after his ex-wife, Shikiri Hightower, moved to Pleasanton last year from Southern California after they separated.
Mahannah also filed a civil lawsuit against Johnson and a report to Oakland police alleging three months of verbal harassment and an attempted assault during a Jan. 9 funeral at St. Columba's Roman Catholic Church.
The lawsuit and Mahannah's restraining order application also claim Johnson left dozens of threatening messages on an answering machine, saying he knows where the man lives and will hunt him down and "beat him to a pulp.'' Mahannah said the athlete had tried to assault him during a confrontation at the funeral of Monique Linyard, 27, of Pinole, who was killed in a New Year's Day auto accident on Interstate 80 in Berkeley. Linyard was a close friend of Hightower.
As Mahannah approached the casket to pay his respects, Johnson began shouting insults and threats, according to the police report. Mahannah then tried to leave the church, but Johnson stopped him.
According to the report, Johnson was restrained by several other people but then cornered Mahannah outside, saying: "I'm going to kill you. ... How can you disrespect me?'' Johnson was restrained again, allowing Mahannah to leave, the report states. Johnson could not be reached for comment on Friday. His agent, Jerome Stanley, told the St. Petersburg Times that the dispute was "just overblown, that's all. More smoke than substance. It's a ballgame-level dispute that gets elevated because he's a professional athlete. It's typical."
The eight-year NFL veteran started his career with the New York Jets after playing at USC. He signed an eight-year, $56 million contract with Tampa Bay in 2000. He was deactivated in late November by Coach John Gruden, who said the wide receiver was causing problems for the team. Mahannah said in a statement filed with police that he began seeing Hightower in August. The phone threats began in the fall, shortly after Johnson learned of the relationship while he was in Tampa with the team, said Mahannah's attorney, Lisa Alexholland of Oakland.
"It started in October,'' Alexholland said. "It really escalated in December when Johnson called and indicated that he had lots of free time'' after he was suspended. "At that time, my client began to fear for his safety and that of his children.''
On Dec. 6, Johnson allegedly left a 46-second message on Mahannah's voice mail laced with obscenities, racial epithets and threats. "If I catch you, n -- , I'm going to break your neck,'' states the voice that is allegedly Johnson's. "I'm going to find you and break your ... I got a lot of free time on my hands, and I'm going to hunt you down. ... I'm going to beat you to a pulp.''

This is real classy behavior at a funeral.
Keyshawn has got to have rocks in his head the size of Gibraltar. Leaving a message like this on a guy's answering machine means that his civil lawsuit is essentially a slam-dunk. Keyshawn is going to have fun explaining that one in court. He'll probably wind up settling for an undisclosed amount of money. There's no way a lawyer would advise fighting this in court.
- Arena League
- The Dallas Cowboys
No. Bonds is a freak. btw, chances are Johnson will be on the Dallas Cowboys next year.
Hmmmm...gets kicked off a team with pay...goes to the East Bay...starts acting belligerent...gets in trouble with the law...
You know what? I think this is all a way of letting Al Davis see that he's Raider material.
