I and several members of my family are sold on these low carb diets.
One thing bad about this diet is that it gets boring.
I do believe a healthier but similar diet is the Suzanne Somers diet.
Her diet is all about combining foods, but she stresses the low carb, high protein diet.
On her diet fruit is recommended but to be eaten alone on an empty stomach.
I have not tried her diet but listened to one of her tapes.I highly recommend it.
What I think was amazing about the Atkins diet is how much better I feel, including all the aches and pains I used to call arthritis disappeared within a few days of starting it.
Carb Addicts is easier to stay on than Atkins. Less nitpicky, and since you get one normal meal a day, it's more family-friendly and less boring--and probably better for the body in the long run.
