[history]
No other comedian consistently tweaks as many nerves, churns as many stomachs and terrorizes as many conservatives as George Carlin.
The man is a menace.
"The more resistance and discomfort I can feel from the audience, the better I feel," Carlin explains contentedly in a phone interview. "The happier I am."

I can't believe that I once thought Carlin was funny. As I get older I realize that he was not as big a comic genius as he thinks he is. Today Carlin is just an anti-Christian, America hating leftist.

And businessmen are not liberals. I thought Carlin was smart enough not to buy into that myth. The amount of businessmen and millionaires who are liberals embarrasses the left so much that they take pains to never mention it.

See, Americans measure all their progress in the wrong way. They measure by quantity and by gizmos and toys. And not by quality and by things that are important.Ah, Mr. Carlin, you toad, and who appointed you arbiter of quality and things that are important. Self righteous J.O. ...

Thanks for pointing out George's hypocracy and failure to understand what the hell he HIMSELF is saying.

This country has been, for about 180 years now, badly mishandled.I guess I'd ask Carlin, given the chance, the same thing I'd ask anyone else who trashes our country: What country is your model? Who has done it better? Granting that we're not perfect, to what role model would you have us aspire, Mr. Carlin?

George Carlin is a guest on the Don Imus program about once a year.
What I like about both Carlin and Imus is that neither one of them care whether I like them or not.

His [Carlin] next book, "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops," will be published later this year.Hey George, that's almost as funny a title as the book I want to write: "George Carlin -- He's Still Alive?"

See, Americans measure all their progress in the wrong way. They measure by quantity... not by quality and by things that are important. It's a fact. I'm one of the best ones out there. I sell 250,000 tickets a year.
Does he provide those tickets for free, or does he want to exchange them for money? Dirty businessman!

"...I'm just about (being) anti-United States. I don't like the way this country operates. I think we've ruined this place. And I think it's largely because of businessmen. And businessmen are not liberals. George, you still have a record deal with Atlantic (a Time Warner subsidiary), and you have a book deal with Hyperion (a Disney subsidiary). In other words, you have business arrangements with two of the largest American media companies. You were saying?

Carlin's resume includes 24 albums, 12 HBO specials.... His next book, "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops," will be published later this year.....Carlin also will enjoy his most significant acting role to date in this year's "Jersey Girl," ..... I sell 250,000 tickets a year....
But you're not one of those eeeeeeeevil businessmen I bet.

George Carlin has been burned out for the last 25 years and hasn't been funny for least that long.

I sell 250,000 tickets a year. I did a quick check on ticket prices.....rough average by my estimation (prices listed at venues, not brokers)$ 160.00 per ticket........multiply by 250,000....= a cool forty million in ticket sales....no wonder he hates american business.

. . . this experiment, this magnificent experiment in democracy is just being shredded to pieces by these right-wing Christians, the Ashcroft branch of Republicanism. (They're) just shredding the rest of the Bill of Rights which hadn't been shredded already. Still corked off over being thrown in the slammer in Milwaukee in 1972, eh George?

He hates to be called "liberal."
Why? I thought he was all about the truth. His is liberal. Unless he is secretly ashamed of being liberal, he should embrace the title. And if he IS ashamed, he shoudl asked himself what about being a liberal is bad.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
What a typical liberal.

Everybody's got more jet skis and Dustbusters now and sneakers with lights in them. They've got more cheese on their thing that they buy. They get double helpings. See, Americans measure all their progress in the wrong way. They measure by quantity and by gizmos and toys. And not by quality and by things that are important. Ah, let's see George, since you gross $40 million a year from your concerts alone, I guess by the *important things* you mean Rolls Royces, private planes, and Malibu mansions. Sorry to hear that my finances don't allow me to value the things that you do.
