I did a quick check on ticket prices.....rough average by my estimation (prices listed at venues, not brokers)$ 160.00 per ticket........multiply by 250,000....= a cool forty million in ticket sales....no wonder he hates american business.
Nah, his tickets don't cost that much -- I just looked on Ticketmaster, and depending on the city, they go from between $30 and $60. But even so, he's still a millionaire many times over.
And as for his charge that this country's being run poorly for 180 years now, that would mean the last good time was 1824, when there was slavery!
Carlin is an original. Of course he's in it for the money, but considering he's 66, the cynicism in his act is something he fashioned on his own. The young crops of comedians since are copycats. He's a 60's throwback in many ways, but mostly he's just a nasty cynical comedian.
