Scott Hoffman says he considered himself a possible Dean supporter before the incident. Why doesn't he consider the lunch tab a donation to his candidate?
If Dean did become president, he could never afford to donate because his taxes would double.
Instead of a dollar, I suggest everybody send an IOU signed.......compassionate liberal!

Do I want to give a dollar to a guy who might just turn around and vote for a different Democrat? I'm going to think about that. Perhaps the full lesson hasn't yet been learned.Sending a dollar to this dickhead is the wrong thing to do.
He doesn't need welfare, he needs a lesson learned!!

Don't send nothing. The matching funds that these creeps get from the Govt. is our money so we already have sent our share.
Keep a major portion of the matching funds in escrow and make sure there are no poutstanding bills belonging to these deadbeats before transferring all the money.

Sounds like this small businessman got submarined by the Deaniacs. The unkindest (cold) cut of all.

An even better move.

he considered himself a possible Dean supporter before the incidentThe notion of a small business owner supporting any Dem is mindboggling enough.
To: Doctor Raoul

Why doesn't he consider the lunch tab a donation to his candidate? That's what I thought. After all, he was gonna vote for him.

Howard Dean Stiffs Iowa Deli, Hillary Stiffing The Waitress Part II..... Bill Clinton tried to stiff a waitress, but got slapped instead.
To: Tijeras_Slim
"Dr. Dean, your wife's calling from the Mayo Clinic on Line 2. And there's a call holding for you on Line 5 from a Mr. Ham with a law office in Iowa - something about $960 worth of sandwiches."
"OK - get me Ham on 5, hold the Mayo."

That's a lot of bread he just gave to the Dean campaign (who, if I'm correct, has more money than any of the other candidates, why does he need to stiff anyone?).

Take Dean to court - Judge Judy's court on TV - I'd love to see her make mince meat out of Dean.
To: mass55th; sauropod
They agreed to "COD" when they placed the order.
He could have refused to hand over the order, but then he'd have to "eat" 200 sandwiches. You can't exactly take them back to the deli and unmake them. So if he didn't leave the order at that point, he'd have no recourse at all.
I think I remember reading that this guy had a staff of only four or so people. They must have busted their humps filling a 200-meal order. Now they realize the Dean camp thinks they should have felt honored to do all that work for nothing.
Sending a dollar sends a message:
"Run toward the light, Sandwich-boy! Dean People Suck!"
To: Doctor Raoul
One of the campaigns also stiffed another caterer that I know about. Send your money to the following address:
Theo
PO Box 555
Virginia Beach, VA 23464
:-D
(Just a commentary on how easy it'd be to get decent people to send money to yourself or a friend....)

Take Dean to court - Judge Judy's court on TV - I'd love to see her make mince meat out of Dean. Geez, what a harpy she is. I wonder if any plaintiff or defendant interrupted her in the middle of one of her rants with "My hearing works just fine, your Honor. It is not necessary to scream at me."

Maybe we should all send him 45 cents each, and say "It would have been a dollar, but we had to withhold all the taxes and fees... ;0) Great idea..or maybe..
Just send a penny and explain that it's all that's left after the proposed Dean taxes. We could even have a campaign to name the proposal..eg, pennies for dennie
Send it 'postage due' of course ;-)
Note new tagline
