HOLLYWEIRD'S CONTEMPT FOR AMERICAN VALUES Documentary’s Haunting Tale of Abuse (awarded Oscar)

The late Arnold Friedman and his son, Jesse, admitted to police in 1988 that they had sexually molested 13 children during computer classes in the Friedman home in Great Neck. The documentary film "Capturing the Friedmans" is based on their case.

This is an open letter to the 13 former children:

You are the invisible actors in "Capturing the Friedmans." If this flawed documentary film has a certain "haunting" brilliance, as many movie critics have said, you are what haunts it.

Your faces are never seen but you inhabit every frame of the film. Every recrimination between father and mother and sons is about you. Every silence is filled with you.

Every closeted emotion borne by members of the Friedman family, as filmmaker Andrew Jarecki documents the disintegration of their fragile nuclear unit, pulses with fear about the power of you to destroy Arnold and his son in court.

Hollyweird's elitist, unnmitigated contempt for American values continues.

In the wake of awarding pedophile and sexual predator director Roman Polanski an Oscar last year, this year's award went to "Capturing" a film that glorifies child molesters. Liberals do their ususal job of turning scumbags into "victims."

Follywood and its inhabitants have obviously turned the corner from launchig violent rampages to destroy the values America holds dear into declaring moral war on America.

The newspaper column posted addressed to the kids who were molested by the Friedman's is one response which clearly validates the fact that Hollywarped has crossed the line.

The ADL and ACLU: America's original and still pre-eminent home grown domestic terrorist organizations.

Some would opt for the lefty Hollywarped cabal among the chief offenders.

Unfortunately, the author of this column has some good points.

Children can be coerced and/or manipulated into making false accusations. For very young children, the boundary between true and false is often not very clear.

"Recovered memories" are indeed fishy, by definition. I believe they sometimes are real, and more often are not. It is very unlikely that even the person experiencing them can be really sure which is which.

The Friedmans apparently bring new meaning to the word scum. That doesn't mean we can ignore the real possibility that some other accusation might be untrue. A number of the famous child molestation cases involving daycare centers have been pretty generally acknowledged to have been false from the beginning.

The problem is that we tend to let out horror at the nature of the accusation slide over into a presumption of guilt for the accused. They are two separate issues.

H'weirdo has gone along its merry way with its own set of morals and values apart from the rest of society. When caught, a finger-slap on the wrist is all that these people receive from our justice system. Yet, we in society are to blame for this attitude when we contribute our time and money for the perpetuation of such degradation. H'weirdo awards its own prize through the academy awards (oscar) and then demands that the general populace watch this farce is unbelievable. Again, the populace is to blame for allowing this to occur. A message needs to be sent to H'weirdo that enough is enough, and turn this junk off, change the channel, refuse to attend the movies and pay your hard earn money to see these moral corrupt people enter your mind. By paying to see junk, a person gives power to all those that contribute to the development of degrading films and music.

Rather, I gathered from the piece that the author was criticizing the supposition that the children's recounting of the molestations were based on recovered memory.

Moreover, last night, Dateline interviewed the judge in the case who addressed the subject and categorically denied r/m was actually used to convict.

I know many of us try to not subsidize this filth. Unlesss they are highly advertised, it's not always apparent which films are offensive.......although at this point in time, we should assume most of Hollyweird's output has some offensive content......that goes for TV, music and films.

They admitted this, case closed. Doesn't suprise me that mainstream Hollyweird would jump on the bandwagon to promote/award this trash. Lots of them worship Michael Jackson.

Arnold Friedman died in prison.

Good. Hopefully, it was slow and painful.

It's just been nominated for an Oscar, it hasn't won it.

For a second there I thought it was a documentary of Hollywood's abuse of values. I would have seen that.

Seeing as how the Oscars ceremony isn't until Feb. 29th, how can it be said that the documentary has 'won' an Oscar?

I haven't seen the film but I saw Jarecki on Charlie Rose and he was quite obviously sympathetic to the idea that the Friedmans had been wronged. The author makes an interesting suggestion to the victims. Come forward and clear the air. I hope at least one or two of them take him up on it.

I'm not sure if age would have much affect on false memories. If they are attached to real incidents there may be no way to untangle them.

Does this mean that Hollywood will expose Janet

I am far more concerned with the mind pollution and the attack on moral values on TV and the films than I am with the impact of cigarettes.

Meant to add "nominated" for Oscar ......which is a huge honor even if Jarecki isn't actually awarded it.

Just by being nominated, the film will get global attention--and the capability to manipulate public opinion, to densitize people to the subject---which may, in fact, be the subrosa reason for it's production.

Mostly I think it's meant as a viscious finger in the eye to conservatives and others who abhor the type of behavior the film depicts.
