I'm leaning towards voting for President Bush but am disturbed at the number of folks on FR ostracizing legitimately-concerned conservatives who make up a large portion of the GOP base. I hope our CIC is not as foolish.

the ostracism is going both ways, K2. anyone who is a pragmatist and is simply trying to keep a leftwing liberal out of the seat of power is accused of being a bushbot or worshipping the president as a deity. it is a bunch of crap. the majority of the people on FR who are defending the president, are NOT so much defending him or his policies as warning of the catastrophic implications of putting principles ahead of pragmatics and ending up with a Dem president who will pack the court with YOUNG liberal judges and if you think the border situation is bad now, what stringent policies do you think PRESIDENT KERRY is going to impose?? staying home or voting third party INSURES a dem president. period.

Argh, he's talking about Janet and Justin?

Please do let me know if he mentions the radio proposition. I'll be tuning in later. :-)

"...he's talking about Janet and Justin?"

Still, sorta a wasted hour in my estimation, but I guess it's an easy target fer demonstrating his social conservatism...MUD

Well, if the GOP wants to win elections they need a better slogan than "We're better than the Democrats." That goes without saying.

I'm sympathetic to the conservatives being called "DU-ers" simply because they're concerned over certain liberal Republican policies.

the GOP needs to be more conservative and to show more grit. i will grant you that. but the aspersions are cast both ways here. and i am just saying that not voting or voting third party brings about a Dem president, there is no getting around it. saying that it will teach the party a lesson means you are willing to put your country at risk under a Dem president for principles. i disagree with that. it is way too dangerous.

I searched using different variations of the title but couldn't find it. It would be nice to have a search option by author.

it was posted on FR, and probably has over a thousand posts by now, as the inevitable back and forth between the bushbots and the thirdparty propagandists rages on....

Well, I am trying...

Very ;-) (this was a joke for the humor impaired. You caught on immediately LOL )

And the whole 'opus' thing here followed by new posts there is a little dramatic for me. I know it's corny but I like those biblical metaphors.

Well, drama, coupled with a persecution complex makes Nobel Prize level reading.I think one or two doses over there is enough, so I am with you. You're right about the spending and I get the impression this weekend in Philly was a mutual Come to Jesus meeting. What's your take?

How 'bout that game?

I must have missed something. Was there a GOP budget meeting up in Philly over the weekend? Was that where Liberty Caucus met?

How 'bout that game?

I knew there was a superbowl but didn't Tivo it. Never see the networks anymore. For anything. They could disappear and I wouldn't notice.

Apparently Bush and the Party powers met in Philadelphia over the weekend to hash out the coming campaigns and more than likely , everyone got several earfuls. We can hope.

Short, sweet, and to the point. I don't think anyone could say it better, no matter how many words were used.

What I like about this is it keeps things in perspective and points out that elections are comparative choices and things can always get worse. Bush may tick us off on some issues but Kerry would make us puke on EVERY issue. And we are at war. Thanks, Jim.
