That’s okay. People your age flashing tribalistic tattoos and piercings strike me as gross, but I chalk it up to permanent evidence of temporary insanity.

Did you know that today’s hottest acts are stealing styles, riffs and inspiration from Parliament/Funkadelic, Queen and the Rolling Stones? As the Olympic hero says: it’s true, it’s damn true. Everything you like has been done before just as the Led Zeppelin, Clapton and others my 41 year old mummified ears enjoyed during their youth actually came from Robert Johnson’s real Delta blues and Frank Sinatra’s mastery of timing and arrangement.
I’m not getting on your case. I’m just saying be cool about what’s cool and expand beyond the boundaries set by pony-tailed music business executives only interested in your wallet. My town (Nashville) is full of these guys and they love to brag about how they have the youth and their money in thrall. SOB’s are good at running fast when we get tired of their crap; I’ll hand them that.
