Parents have complained that children do not like the single stuffed bird in a glass case in the building, the golden eagle that always was on display in the old library facility.

"It's taxidermy," Bernier said. "That's hard to explain to a child."

Either these children are extremely sheltered or the grown ups are lying. My daughter is 5 and would think that these were statues or replicas of animals. She wouldn't even know they are real animals stuffed unless someone told her. Even after she knew, I think with a brief explanation, she would just say--OK.
