Every time they spew something like this, Dubya ought to have another photo-op of the troops mobbing him. They LOVE him! He's the best CinC I can remember.

I would like to point out that Kerry wasn't in the Army, nor was he drafted; he enlisted in the NAVY which had little danger of firefights until the mission was changed AFTER Kerry enlisted.
I remember well guys in my generation enlisting in the Navy or the Air Force so that they could avoid going to Viet Nam. This was quite common, and Kerry is JUST as guilty as Bush, if he wants to press the point. I consider all of it honorable service.
Myself, I would have taken my chances in the Army as opposed to flying planes, something which would terrify me.

President Bush probably spent more time in his fighter jet than Kerry spent on his "swift boat".

Excellent work, windchime. I think your post is worth a vanity. It is excellent, and who knows who might read it!
Damn media. Not like they aren't taking sides with Kerry, who fits their left-wing agenda.
I've copied your post and sent it to myself for safe-keeping. I have a feeling we're going to have need to trot it out a lot between now and November.

Not to mention that you have to be damned good to be ALLOWED to fly planes, especially the fast movers. And to those who parrot the AWOL story, his time was going to run out, he was moving to Alabama for WORK, and since they didn't have any planes of his type in Al, they just kind of let him ride for a while before giving him his honorable. NG doesn't pay well enough to tell you you can't move for work. And it wasn't for his dad.

IMHO, I respect anyone who served in any capacity. I understand that for every combat Soldier, it takes three support people to keep that soldier fed and supplied. So I don't care if someone is repairing flat tires on Jeep's or someone here Stateside training in the Air National Guard, everyone from the front line troops to the National Guard, they all served this country in some fashion, AND I SALUTE THEM ALL.
All John Kerry is doing is playing the silly game of "Who has the bigger ________"(fill in the blank) and he is making an ass of himself by indulging in this penis envy crap

Thanks for the post. Too bad my teenage nephew and the thousands more like him didn't realize they were not part of the military when they crossed the sands into Bagdad. Kerry is a foppish nerd who plays to the crowd and will do anything for a vote. He must not be allowed to turn the White House into the White House Inn for the Hollywood crowd again.
Must get busy now ordering my stickers and making my yard signs!

" They're saying Bush didn't show up for about a year of his service in Alabama. At least that's what his commander in Alabama said. "
According to NBC Nightly News tonight,Brigadier General Wm. Turnipseed is now saying " he can't say if George Bush showed up,he can't say if George Bush didn't show up." If George Bush did not show up for an entire year, without a legitimate excuse,BG Turnipseed should have reported him AWOL.

I cannot believe these lowlifes trashed the Guard this way.
Ditto. As a flight surgeon in the AF I had to go to several accidents involving Guard planes. On one I was on the initial recovery team. We spent 2 days in the Georgia swamps picking up the pieces of the two crewmen on the F4 that went in. Tell their families, friends and comrades they didn't serve.

Perhaps the very liberal Mr. Heinz should just go to Canada now.
I'm sure they would elect him to something...after all, he looks kinda French.
My apologies to my Canadian friends, but you above anyone know what I'm talking about... ;-)

Kerry and Terry have insulted my two dear and honorable uncles who served in the National Guard, one the Army and the other Air.
For Kerry and Terry to so crassly and politically calculatingly demean their service to our great country and all of the others who have served in the National Guard is truly a despicable example of a political party that hasn't any moral compass and are driven only by their visceral hate of our President Bush.
I hope this above all will achieve disdain for Kerry/Terry.

Thanks, onyx! I've been posting the links around on appropriate threads. Timing on a vanity probably isn't right, IMO. The thread with Liz's PERFECT title has gotten few comments.
The dems are successfully controlling the topic with inaccurate, if not slanderous, statements.
