The Real Kerry

ONE of the surest ways to get the phones ringing on any Massachusetts talk-radio show is to ask people to call in and tell their John Kerry stories. The phone lines are soon filled, and most of the stories have a common theme: our junior senator pulling rank on one of his constituents, breaking in line, demanding to pay less (or nothing) or ducking out before the bill arrives.

Actually, you're taking the sane (non-tinfoil) view. My aluminum headset tells me if she senses ANY real chance she can take down the president THIS year, she'll do it. Boomers are not long on patience. It'll happen at the convention by some sort of trumped-up mass euphoric hysterical "acclamation". There'll be a conveniently abbreviated campaign. Of course she won't have to answer any questions as she "saves" the party from the mediocre Kerry who will have been strategically, fatally (politically) wounded. Thank goodness for FR...Where else could we air our worst nightmares!

"Dangit, I wish people would stop taking potshots at this guy! Wait until he's the nominee- then unload everything at him."

Just wait. This is only like the rumble of an opening artillery barrage; a few ranging shots before the full attack.

Kerry is going to feel like he was pickled like a Heinz ghurkin before this is all over.

Regards,

Can anyone say if the annulment was granted? I've been searching, and all I can find are stories saying it was sought, and contested. It looks like the request was made in 1997; can anyone point me to a source stating the result?

You're right.
I've got a good one about Kerry that'll keep.
Howie is just scrapping the surface on this guy and none of this even gets into some of Long Jahwns Banking friends.
Wait til he gets the nomination and then we'll get to see if that really is a glass jaw on his puss.

LOL, If half of what I have read on this thread is true, John Kerry brings a whole new meaning to the term "Target Rich Environment"

LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW HIM BEST!!!

Remember, NO ONE LISTENED to the people of ARKANSAS! Look what we got for EIGHT LONG YEARS!!!

For over 30 years, Kerry's primary occupation has been stalking lonely heiresses. Not to get back to his combat experience, but Kerry sees a room full of wealthy widows as ''a target-rich environment.'' This is a guy whose experience dealing with tax problems is based on spending his entire adult life being supported by rich women. What does a kept man know about taxes?

In 1970, Kerry married into the family of Julia Thorne--a family estimated to be worth about $300 million. She got depressed, so he promptly left her and was soon seen catting around with Hollywood starlets, mostly while the cad was still married. (Apparently, JFK really was his mentor.) Thorne is well-bred enough to say nothing ill of her Lothario ex-husband. He is, after all, the father of her children--a fact that never seemed to constrain him.

When Kerry was about to become the latest Heinz family charity, he sought to have his marriage to Thorne annulled, despite the fact that it had produced two children. It seems his second meal ticket, Teresa Heinz, wanted the first marriage annulled--and Heinz is worth more than $700 million. Kerry claims he will stand up to powerful interests, but he can't even stand up to his wife

Maybe it's tinfoil hat time for me, but I'm fully convinced that this election is designed to set up Hillary for '08.

And what... all those voting in the democratic primaries are in on this?

HOWARD KURTZ: No story line for the press side, that is terrible, Tucker. How did the media magically decide that [John] Kerry is struggling, sinking, tanking, you know, five months before anyone gets to vote?

CARLSON: Yes. I don’t know how I wound up in the role as Kerry defender, but that’s kind of how I feel. I think the press sees him as Al Gore, essentially. There was a huge amount of hostility, personal hostility from otherwise liberal political reporters directed at Al Gore—

KURTZ: And you’re saying they just don't like John Kerry.

CARLSON: They just don’t like him. I mean, the Boston Globe, which has got to be the most liberal paper in the country, certainly the most annoying, has actually I think been really tough on John Kerry. They did this piece implying he’s hiding the fact he’s Jewish, completely unfair piece. It’s hard to imagine that they would do that to anyone else. I think people have a bias and the press have a bias against John Kerry. It’s amazing to watch.

Theresa Kerry is, indeed, "African-American" -- she was born in Mozambique, making her a lot more AA than Al, Jessie, et al.

Didn't say that she is from Africa Madagascar and lives in an America, she is therefore and African American.

I think people have a bias and the press have a bias against John Kerry.

When did this conversation take place? I assume before Kerry became number one in the running.

Those voting for Kerry in the primaries have the impression he can beat Bush (or so say the polls).

No, not everyone voting in the primaries is in on it. They're making choices based on the options they're presented.

My take is that the Dems have concluded that Bush will not be defeated in '04. With that assumption, ClintonCorp. has made the decision to lead the party astray in '04 by pushing it far to the left, to further insure that no candidate gets elected. Watch for hit pieces on any Dem candidate that shows even the potential of promise in '04.

This will allow Hillary to portray herself as being a "centrist" in '08. While it won't nearly be true, the goal is to move the party so far to the left, she'll appear centrist to Joe Six-Pack, with the Hard Left falling into lock-step behind the Clinton name.

Kerry tosses around quarters like they were manhole covers.

I love that line.

Yes, Gore was very chintzy with his charitable contributions. His explanation was that he had big tuition bills for kids in private schools. As usual, the media accepted that and gave him a pass. Expect the same treatment for Ketchup Boy.
