Surprised Dennis let it go. It is one of the big lies that frosts me most. I am still waiting for someone, anyone to demand the cretins source the alleged quote.

He's right. Bush said the words "imminent" and "threat." However, Bush also said some other words.
In fact, if you string them all together in the order that Bush uttered them, Bush said "Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent."
To counter this, we need a gifted cartoonist to make a Beavis and Butthead clone that takes the Bush speech where he says this, and then morph to Beavis and Butthead (looking like McAuliffe and Kerry) saying "He said 'imminent' -- huh-huh, huh-huh!"

I listened to the radio coming home from work, its on EVERY single radio news station at the top of the hour.
To: jmstein7
I haven't decided if I will be a regular viewer of Dennis. First it was Naomi that got on my nerves, then Martin Short knowing nothing about anything for one hour, then the monkey retires, now he allows Harold Ford to get away with this continuing lie. If I wanted to see this much B.S. on a nightly basis, I would tune in to O'Reilly.
To: prairiebreeze
Miller's heart is in the right place as regards defending Bush, but, despite how sharp he can make himself sound, he's just not sufficiently up on his facts. Understandable, since he's only been a "conservative" (I know, that's stretching the term a bit for some people) for a couple years, and the Democrats lie so fast it takes a long time to come up to speed.
And when he's winging it, as he is on this show, rather than performing his act, he misuses a surprising number of his trademark big words, too. I was a little disappointed. If you know anything of Roger Ailes, it does explain why he's not on Fox, though.
How are his ratings doing, does anyone know?

Which is why he needs an e-mail address. If he doesn't want to research the facts, there are a LOT of FReepers who would be happy to keep him up-to-date.

If JUNIOR opened his flap, it was to spew a LIE, he is a total stranger to that thing called TRUTH. I live 20 miles from Memphis, his corrupt uncle is my state senator! We MUST keep a sharp eye on JUNIOR, he's been groomed for the WH. He is only 33, but make no mistake he's sharp, articulate and a gun grabbing, high taxing, pro-abortion, LIBERAL votes only a couple of points to the right of nancy pelosi.

His uncle state senator john ford, regularly speeds going to Nashville, draws guns...er smoking cell phones on truckers, gets in to big rows with his ex, BTW there is an arrest warrant out for her for probation violation steming from her mixing it up with one of gigilo john's mistresses. He's got 3 illigitimate kids by 3 different women. Wants the state to change the child support laws he helped pass now that one of the mistresses is demanding MORE child support. Drew a shotgun on 5 Memphis Light Gas & Water workes. Has his fingers into the daycare money pile.
I Think you can get the picture of his family. OH, his other uncles occupy seats on the Memphis City Council and the Shelby Co Commission (we have spilt gov't Thank GOD) and they are just as stupid, coniving, and corrupt as daddy who pulls JUNIOR's strings, and uncle john.

I had Dennis Miller's number after his first show. He is a closet liberal, trying to bait unsuspecting conservatives.
I'm not quite sure what his agenda is. Athough I deplore the Barbara Streisands and Alec Baldwins of the world, at least you know where you stand with them.

That's bs. Clearly the events of the last 3 years have made DM re-evaluate his position on a number of subjects.
To: GeronL
This continually repeated lie and the AWOL crap are clearly the "talking points". Gergen said it also, and the DUmmies are falling all over themselves talking these points up as well.
It's so transparent, it really is pathetic. The conservative commentators need to debunk these lies at every turn, and we need to do our part by writing letters to the editor, guest columns, anything else we need to do to expose the fact they are "lying liars" (to coin a phrase) ;-) GG
To: GeronL
Well, he specifically said it was not. That we couldn't wait until it was.
But lies don't bother those people. They enjoy them. It's what they do best.

He is a valuable asset for the right, though. Many liberals who would never give a conservative the time of day might just listen to what Miller has to say.

What is the deal with Dennis's show being unreachable? Why is CNBC totally dissing him on their totally sloppy website?
Somebody needs to do the play by play every night because I don't have a t.v. This is the first I've heard that the monkey got canned.
To: Hazzardgate
That's bs. Clearly the events of the last 3 years have made DM re-evaluate his position on a number of subjects.Oh really? I think "BS" is watching DM tap dancing around the "subjects". If he's going to stand up for our president and our country, then he should put the liberal "pundants" he has on his show in their place.
I've watched this man...and actually been a fan of his, for years. He could nail these libs in a heartbeat...if indeed, he wants to.

To: LisaMalia
I've watched this man...and actually been a fan of his, for years. He could nail these libs in a heartbeat...if indeed, he wants to. I think he's a bit intimidated. He's always been just a comedian, hanging out with lightweight hollywood types.
Now all of a sudden his career has taken a turn and he has a nightly show interviewing senators and Rudy Giuliani and a whole slew of serious political types. It's clear that Miller is trying to be polite to those he disagrees with politically. In spite of all of that, I think he's holding his own.
For instance, tonight he allowed Ford to ramble on, and at the end he gave a wry smile and said, "Oh man, you're smooth." It came across as a polite way of saying, "Oh man, you're a liar."
