Vancouver, BC is Amsterdam West, the marijuana, drug and prostitution capital of North America. They grow so much dope indoors you can smell it walking down the street.

Canada, unlike the US (which fought for its freedom, and still continues to fight for the freedom of people around the planet), does not have a tradition of free speech as we understand it. When you wait for the colonial power to just get sick of the weather and leave of its own accord, you get a government and a society that works too hard on being polite, and not hard enough on being free.

I was born in Canada, adopted by US parents, and my first childhood memory is a Federal judge handing me a 48-star US flag when I was three and a half years old, on the day I was gifted US citizenship. To this day, it is one of the proudest days of my life.
