I've been very disappointed in Frist, and Hatch is as useless as tits on a bull.

A cheap victory builds the foundation for future defeats.

He looks too nice. And that is the problem with the Republicans in DC. They all look like Opie Taylor or like a Barber Shop Quartet. John McCain is an exception.

Just what was Mr. Miranda's job - wasn't it coordinating the efforts of the senate & outside groups in getting nominees consented to? Let's get all the memos out, dim & rep and see where we get to. That would be fun.
Stealing private property is still a crime.

Frist needs one of his surgeon buddies to implant a backbone and stand up to the wimpy RINOS and slimy Democrats. I call him Jellyfish Frist. Frist isn't running for re-election and Zach Wamp has been anointed to run for his seat. Wamp has a backbone and will be a good choice. The rumors going around Tennessee have Frist running for president in 2008. He will be another Bob Dole and we will have another Clinton in the White House. He is too nice and won't win.

Thanks I.T. for filling in the blanks. I thought it was common enough, especially when referring to what Democrats do to Republicans.

The rumors going around Tennessee have Frist running for president in 2008 He'll have to get past Bill Owens in the primaries first.

Frist's own staffer uncovered clear evidence that Democrats on the Judiciary Committee worked with leftist organizations to fix court cases. He broke no laws in obtaining this evidence, since the memos were stupidly posted to a server used by members of both parties.
The Democrats would much rather feign outrage at how the memos were obtained than defend what is in them, so they have been shrieking for Miranda's scalp for weeks. Now Hatch and Frist have given them what they most wanted; tacit agreement that it was wrong of Miranda to point out that the Democrats were subverting the justice system.
I see no reason to support Hatch or Frist for any public office, now or ever.

For those who missed it, I broke the news that Senate Republicans had decided to fire Manuel Miranda two weeks ago at CPAC:

Owens will mop the floor with this Senatorial jellyfish.
The only thing standing between him and the nomination is his marriage situation.
However, I heard he is trying to work things out with his wife.

The question of the day is, What is in Hatch's FBI file, that he is so afraid of the Democrats?

Frist isn't running for re-election IMHO, this is one of the key pieces of the puzzle. Is Orrin counting on Frist being out of town by the time this comes under more rigorous scrutiny?
Nick's right on this. The Washington Times is going to play hard ball on this one and no croquet players (Hatch) are going to enjoy it.
Please keep me posted!

Well, now, Mr. Miranda is no longer a congressional staffer,
so whistleblower laws now cover him....I'm hoping against hope
that there actually IS a GOP plan afoot here.......
ok, quit laughing. :)

He won't get the nomination - he'll be blown away by Owens.
Frist may want the Presidency, but he doesn't have the fire and energy that Owens does.

I'm hoping against hope that there actually IS a GOP plan afoot here... No doubt:
1) load weapon
2) shoot foot
3) apologize
4) repeat.

That's what I'm afraid of, Hillary and the FBI files. Someone posted the email addresses for the officers at CPAC and I sent the regional director an e-mail containing the WSJ article about the judiciary memos. I just sent the same man a copy of the NRO article and asked him what is in Hatch's FBI file.
Keep asking the questions, because if Hatch has something to be ashamed of, the whole party should not suffer so that he can sustain a cover-up. Hatch needs to go.
