Unbelievable. Or rather totally believeable from the leftist elites. Post #6 by Fire Track is amazing reading. I'm printing it for copies to hand out to a few friends.

Weird Al made an album of PERTER & THE WOLF ? I had NO idea and that is NOT the recording I have. Basil Rathbone narrates mine. :-)

Isn't there also some sort of award for advertising? Shouldn't this man receive an award for the selling of the
Office of the Presidency? Especially in
China?
"A woman displays a pamphlet in which former President Clinton's image is used to promote Rejuveface, a woman's beauty mask, in Beijing Friday Feb. 6, 2004. The characters read 'Service I can trust.' "
To: texasbluebell
This is so wrong that I can't even articulate it.

Can you even believe it?
To: FairOpinion
Would you expect anything less from the liberal media and music industry?

In the Dallas "magazine" that comes with the Sunday paper, there was a whole article about Tim Robbins and his right to "free speech" etc. Seems he was raised by whacko's and the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.

"Service I can trust."
I don't even want to go there.

I love Basil Rathbone. A great actor; I also understand (according to an interview with the late actor John Howard) that we was quite the conservative.
To: RightWingAtheist
Me too...I've adored him since I was a tiny child! And yes, he was a Conservative. If you want to know how I know, ask me in Freepmail. :-)
To: nopardons
That must be the rendition I had as a child too. I can hear it now, in my mind.
Pity the poor children who have to listen to the likes of WJC et al.
What a world.

I'll not rest until Clintoon wins an Oscar for any number of his performances--particularly his abhorrent act at Ron Brown's funeral. Laughs To Tears in 4 seconds....

Boris Karloff also narrated a version of Peter and the Wolf; like Rathbone, he was a great horror villain, but also a had a soft and cultured side that he often let the world show.
Here's a list of other actors who recorded versions of the Profkiev classic (cut-and-pasted from another site). ANY of them is preferable to Klintoon's: Sir John Gielgud, Andre Previn, David Bowie, Jack Lemmon, Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo), Dom DeLuise, Dudley Moore, Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery and Melissa Joan Hart.

I guess I need to bone up on pop up ads or maybe even pop culture . What exactly is a Grammy anyway ? What is the value of having this thing ?
