Regardless of what other punishment this little s**t receives, all the gear he brought should have been seized immediately by his father instead of him still wearing/using the stuff. Talk about profiting from your crime!

I find it hard to feel too sorry for the family though because it's obvious that discipline has been an absent word in this household for many years. No one gets that spoilt and selfish overnight.

He said he had not discussed repayment with his father: “I don’t think he is talking to me at the moment. He just grunts into the newspaper when I try to talk to him.

That just means his father still loves him because if he didn't, his father would have killed him by now.

Here are a couple of pictures of the little spoiled s**t from this article in the Telegraph:

A face you just want to slap, if you ask me.

The kid should not be allowed back into the house and his father should refuse to pay fr these purchases. The son should pay it all and the interest too while finding a new place to live.

“I am not sorry that I spent the money because I have lots of lovely things.

This might be a silly question but, do straight men in England talk about buying "lovely things"? I do hate to assume someone is a flaming homosexual without adequate background info.

TheOnion, right?

Sadly, no. But it seems like it should be from The Onion, right?

About halfway through, that's what I thought. "Hah! They had me going for a while there!"

I think "lovely" is used more by men in England than in America (which is not difficult since the number of straight men in America who use the term "lovely" is roughly ZERO!)

(On the other hand, I do detect some flames emanating from this young man)

That's a guy?

At best, he's a metrosexual. More likely, though, he floats in his loafers.

What is the age of majority in England?

If it is 18, then 'ol Dad might have to wait a few more months before he drop-kicks Son's geeky ass out on the hard, cold, street.

If I were his father I would be tempted to just pay up rather than see just what disgusting stuff might have been charged. "Gee, all this leather stuff, and you don't ride a motorcycle?"
