Kerry-Fonda pic

Actress and activist Jane Fonda attends an anti-Vietnam War rally at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The rally was sponsored by Vietnam veterans. John Kerry can be seen directly in the background. 1970 Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, USALeif Skoogfors (CORBIS)

WASH TIMES 2/11 Rep. Sam Johnson, Texas Republican, who spent nearly seven years in a prisoner-of-war camp in Vietnam, said yesterday the photograph of Mr. Kerry with Miss Fonda will hurt him nevertheless. "I think it symbolizes how two-faced he is, talking about his war reputation, which is questionable on the one hand, and then coming out against our veterans who were fighting over there on the other," Mr. Johnson said. Mr. Johnson recalled that his North Vietnamese captors played recordings of Miss Fonda telling U.S. troops to give up the war. "Seeing this picture of Kerry with her at antiwar demonstrations in the United States just makes me want to throw up."

Kerry has an obscenely long record of not supporting the Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

And let us not forget the absurd Iowa photo-op...

"I think this is a very important, little known fact: John Kerry served in Vietnam. I know, I know - it's shocking!"

Well, I was there and I have no recollection of Kerry ever reporting in and I never once observed him either.

I demand that he release all his service records and pay receipts during this alleged time of service :-)

Gen. Giap: Kerry's Group Helped Hanoi Defeat U.S.

The more I read about this bugger, the more obvious it is that he had his political life all planned out from the time he first met JFK and worked for Teddy. His anti-war rhetoric began before he graduated from college, and his liberal ways ("most people on the welfare roles deserve to be there") haven't changed one iota.

John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress [Original Interiew]
Harvard Crimson ^ | 2/18/1970 | Crimosn Staff Writer

Excerpts:

Kerry said that the United Nations should have control over most of our foreign military operations. "I'm an internationalist. I'd like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations."

On other issues, Kerry wants "to almost eliminate CIA activity.

When he approached his draft board for permission to study for a year in Paris, the draft board refused and Kerry decided to enlist in the Navy. The Navy assigned him to the USS Gridley which between December 1966 and July 1968 saw four months of action off the Vietnam coast. In August through November, 1968, Kerry was trained to be the skipper of a patrol boat for Vietnamese rivers. For the next five months, until April of 1969, Kerry was the commanding Lieutenant of a patrol boat in the Mekong Delta. He was wounded slightly on three different occasions and received a Silver Star for bravery. His patrol boat took part in Operation Sealords, mostly scouting out Viet Cong villages and transporting South Vietnamese marines to various destinations up and down narrow rivers covered with heavy foliage on either side.

One time Kerry was ordered to destroy a Viet Cong village but disobeyed orders and suggested that the Navy Command simply send in a Psychological Warfare team to be friend the villagers with food, hospital supplies, and better educational facilities.

There was a post on this subject yesterday, with Oliver North as the source. Also there are lots of books by this author: Vo Nguyen Giap, in internet bookstores at cheap prices. They are mostly about how the North Vietnamese won the war.

KERRY MORE LIBERAL THAN TEDDY KENNEDY:

"Americans for Democratic Action, the premier liberal rating organization, gives John Kerry a lifetime rating of 93 percent while Sen. Kennedy has a lifetime rating of 88 percent—five points less,” said Watson. “Who would have guessed, Ted Kennedy – the most conservative Senator from Massachusetts!”

Maine Welcomes Sen. Kennedy, the Conservative Senator from Mass. (Kerry has higher liberal rating)

Kerry sold out POW's - "As chairman of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, the suave Kerry, aided by the irascible McCain, did everything possible to debunk the evidence and witnesses brought forward to show that live POWs remained in Southeast Asia after Operation Homecoming, the official return of our POWs in 1973."

"The fact that senators were often not even present was obvious to those viewing the hearings. Less obvious was what went on behind the scenes. Words such as "unethical," even "crooked," were attached to Kerry's behavior by committee sources. Kerry's people had "drawn their conclusions" before the investigation started, one source told us, a point backed up by other observers."

Then, of course, there is the Senate connection to Riady/Lippo Group.

A member of Sen. Kerry's family, specifically his cousin, C. Stewart Forbes, is Chief Executive Officer of the Boston, Massachusetts-based Colliers International, one of the largest real estate federations in the world.

In Dec. 1992, Vietnam granted Colliers a contract designating Colliers the "exclusive real estate agent representing Vietnam." Colliers has since written contracts in Vietnam worth billions, upgrading Vietnam's ports, railroads, highways and government buildings.

Colliers is involved with Lippo in multimillion contracts in Indonesia. Kerry, who has a blind trust run by members of his family, claims he knows nothing about his cousin's business deals or affiliations.
