Dean Blames 'Corrupt' Kerry After Attacks by Torricelli and Big Labor

Howard Dean today branded front-runner John Kerry as part of "the corrupt political culture in Washington" after learning that labor unions and scandal-plagued Democrat Robert Torricelli funded an anti-Dean group.

NewsMax is as credible as the New York Times, who allows journalists to write lies. Newsmax is credible and as far as I am concerned it is breaking.

No offense, but you sound like a hurt democrat.

I heard bits of the Dean speech on this yesterday on the radio. Good find.

Newsmax has a picture doctored by Registered as evidence that Kerry and Fonda were on the same podium.

The article I posted is true and that is all I have to say, trying to weasel the dems out of this, will be impossible since the sound bytes are off tv and radio reports with Dean.

Don't be surprised if Dean winds up accepting the Green Party nomination for President when it's all said and done.

He says he'll ultimately support the democratic nominee, but after retracting his statement that he'd quit if he lost Wisconsin and now this stuff, ya never know.

How delicious would that be?

Dean Blames 'Corrupt' Kerry After Attacks by Torricelli and Big Labor

Howard Dean today branded front-runner John Kerry as part of "the corrupt political culture in Washington" after learning that labor unions and scandal-plagued Democrat Robert Torricelli funded an anti-Dean group.

The Torch, who in 2002 dropped out of his re-election bid to the Senate in disgrace, is a major money man for Kerry.

Torricelli and labor unions, most of which favored also-ran Dick Gephardt, were big givers to a group that calls itself Americans for Jobs, Healthcare and Progressive Values. The outfit raised $663,000 last year and spent $626,840.

It ran at least three ads in December against Dean, who had not yet embarked on his meltdown.

The group's most infamous ad, which aired in South Carolina and New Hampshire, showed a picture of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and said Dean couldn't confront terrorism.

Dean handler Jay Carson on Tuesday called the group's anti-Dean commercials "some of the nastiest smear ads" in the race.

"The Washington establishment put this group together just to try to stop Governor Dean," Carson said.

Federal Election Commission spokesman Bob Biersack said it was "fuzzy" whether Torricelli's contribution was legal.

First of all, this was already posted: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076600/posts

For the most part, Newsmax takes AP articles and rewrites them, or quotes them and adds their own opinion. As for the Fonda pictures, they got credit for the first one that was legit (even though it appeared here first), now they have a photoshopped one up that calls into question the legitimacy of everything. As I said before, Newsmax is questionable.

As to breaking news, it's full of crap today. The Paul Harvey thing is, again, some guy's opinion. I happen to agree with what he said, but breaking news is not the place.

Invalid comparison. NewsMax is not like the scum at salon.com. I've met Ruddy and Limbacher and spoken to a few of their other writers. You are way off base.

He may be using this "corrupt kerry" angle to run as a green instead of offering support to botoxboy.

I always know the slant of a Newsmax article before having read it.

While I may agree with their slant...it is still slanted.
