You can often tell when someone is lying simply by how much the story is embellished.

I think a good test of these guys' "memories" would be to sit them down in separate rooms and have them make out a list of all the NG members they ever served with, including dates, a physical description of each person, and where that person resided. I really doubt the list would be at all accurate beyond 6 people. If their memories are poor with the people they are supposed to know, then how can it be any better with someone they apparently never knew?

Mintz says, "I was a young bachelor then. I was looking for somebody to prowl around with."
But, maybe Bush didn't want to "prowl around" with an Eastern Airlines pilot (or two) who was 5 years older than he was.
