Drudge usually dribbles out more details as the day wears on... so far, there haven't been any...

Probably because Clinton has something equally as bad on Edwards. Once that comes to light, PIAPS will just have to jump in and save the day as the Dem candidate.

Why would he want to prop up Pretty Boy Edwards? From everything I've heard about Edwards is just that, he is only a face without much behind it, and I'm sure Clinton will take power anyway he can even if he has to hide behind a puppet. You can be sure he has a dossier on Edwards too.

WND has more readable format and a better choice of editorials than Drudge. As long as you skip the Joseph Farah commentary, an overall better read IMO.

"he broke the story that NEWSWEEK was going to break the Monica story"
I thought he broke the story that Newsweek was *sitting* on the Monica story? Minor quibble, but goes to show yet another example of "censorship by ommission"

"I wonder where Chrissy is today?" He probably escaped to Isengard so he could warn Saruman about...no..wait a minute. That was a different Wormtongue.

""I thought he broke the story that Newsweek was *sitting* on the Monica story? ""
You're correct to a point. When he broke it, he said that Newsweek had it ready to go to press, but they were looking to get more confirmation and therefore delaying it one week. Was that the truth...??
Interestingly, Drudge was not the first to report this rumor. It appeared on
this weblog on Feb. 6.
Also, the Clark quotation has been independently verified by this Democratic weblog.

So is Clinton behind all of this? Why would he want to prop up Pretty Boy Edwards?Scorthed earth. In 2004, everyone gets whooped and the dem party is a disaster. Gives Hillary time to screw around in the senate as a moderate or something, gives seperation time to her from the past, while keeping her in the lime light.
In 2008, she can have a solid national network set up, all the campaign donors in her pocket, be hailed as the savior of the dem party, and run in a pretty much cleared out primary.
I don't think the Clintons so much as want somone to win in 2004, as much as they want somone loyal to them to lose in 2004. Edwards has been taking alot of advice and help from the Clintons. Dean would go down, but he would control the party, Kerry isn't a clinton puppet (he's property of the kennedy's), Edwards losing in 2004 leaves the party in the hands of the clintons.

You are assuming Clinton will win her seat again on '06, I think there will be quite a bit of unearthing that has yet to be done yet. I don't see her winning a second, I really don't.

The trouble with this girlfriend stuff is it drowns out the real scandal, and that's Kerry's actions against POW-MIAs and Vietnam Veterans. Just like in '98, a majority of Americans will declare this a private matter and then get defensive over Kerry about the other stuff he should be tarred and feathered over. Here comes the "it's just sex" all over again.
