As Governor Mitt Romney navigates the volatile issue of gay marriage, his staff is in "regular contact" with the staffs of the Bush White House and the national Republican Party, a top Romney aide said yesterday.

Eric Fehrnstrom, the governor's director of communications, downplayed the significance of the talks between Washington and the governor's office, but he described it as contact on "about a semidaily basis."

any chance that Romney will be able to block the issuance of marriage licenses? I very much doubt the SJC would agree to a stay on their ruling - they have a very obvious agenda. I don't know about the federal court, but if the courts are the only option, it doesn't seem like we've got a chance of stopping this.

the Massachusetts assembly failed to get the wording for an amendment to the MA Constitution last night. They will try again March 11 (I think)

The liberty to vote on an issue was stolen from Massachusetts citizens by a few (mainly Democrats)
hubricly secure in their power.

Romney must be going frantic. As you probably know, he's a Mormon. They are so against any recognition that homosexuality can be considered acceptable that they are one of the major driving forces in forbidding the BSA from allowing units to sign up homosexual leaders; not just in their own units, but in others as well.

In the Joint Session of the Massachusetts House and Senate last night, I watched as the Senate President allowed one Democrat after another take the stand and fillibuster the vote on the measure until midnight, when he gaveled the end of the session, not to be reopened until Thursday, March 11.

As every Demon(from Hell)rat speaker came to the microphone for more fillibuster, he or she was shouted down incessantly by those in the chamber who wanted to vote. It was like a drunken brawl in a Back Bay flophouse... the kind that justifies the saying that one should never watch either sausage or legislation being made. Great theatre.

The surprisingly good news is that if the Democrats thought their pro-gay crap had a chance of prevailing, they would not have fillibustered, but would have rushed to a vote.

Wonder of wonders! Hard though it is to fathom, there is actually still some reprehensible, disgusting, despicable satanic crap that Legislators in Massachusetts are willing to fight against!?

Who would have believed it?

Oh yay. Just what I always wanted. Wonder how much camera time the opposition protestors will get. They sure didn't get much the last couple of days. All I saw where the pro gay marriage crowd. Damn conservative bias.....

sorry, didn't mean to rain on your parade, but the issue will NOT play well in most of the country..look, most poling suggests that the large % of Americans are against gay marriage, and partial birth abortion...two key planks of the Dem platform....remember when they wouldn't allow then- Penna gov Casey to address the DNC?....extremism will always go to wretched excess..

You're right - and it's going to be a huge election issue specifically because of the very aggressive tactics being used. If people see over and over again that they have no power because of the courts, they will turn to the federal government. And i just pray that they have the backbone to do what is right.

Homosexual Agenda ping.

More on Massachusetts - I figured Romney was a RINO, but he seems to be stepping up to the plate on homo-marriages.

There's a veritable tsunami of homosexual agenda stuff out there. I will do my best to keep up with the important ones. Don't let the overload make you feel whimpery or sick. < sarcasm > Let it steel your resolve - time for each of us, who know the truth about the miserable, sick and deluded nature of homosexuality, to DO something!
