I'd say you are right. Now, many employers are offering (forced to offer) benefits for domestic partners. I think this covers not only gay partnerships but straights that live together. Every year I find myself having to shell out more and more of my own money to supplement the health insurance costs.

Good way for a person with an expensive terminal disease to get in on the cash cow. For instance, someone could claim coverage for their roommate who has AIDS even when they are are still boffing other people.

When companies have to increase their health benefits then salaries aren't raised as quickly.

And people continue to wonder why "greedy" corporations go to Asia to get the work done.
