So it has come to this - a choice of scandals (Kerry/Bush media coverage of scandals!)

Seems like it was only a couple of weeks back..., but it may have been longer.
Haven't heard about any deals today. Guess I'll have to take a look see....

Gee, I hope NO ONE judges me by the person I was in college! We all make mistakes in our youth. By age 50 MOST of us have grown up a bit. Going back 30 or 40 years is a stretch, to smear "W".

(Kerry) is a self-confessed unindicted war criminal or... a traitor to his country in a time of war)

That's how I feel about Charles Krauthammer.

I heard an interesting take on the Bush AWOL story on Fox last night. They were saying that the Bush story wasn't pushed in 2000 because it didn't fit the Bush personna the press was presenting to the country. The 2000 Bush was a dullard; a simpleton from some hick town in Texas. His veracity wasn't in question.
The 2004 Bush personna being presented by the press is a liar. He lied about the WMDs in Iraq, and he is lying about his National Guard record. Sure he can come up with documentation, but how do we know it wasn't fabricated by the White House.
Kerry's 2004 media personna is the war hero, winning the Rat primaries despite overwhelming odds. He's the underdog defeating the big guys.
I thought this was an interesting presentation of how the media works in this country.

They probably still think he's a dullard, a simpleton from some hick town but now he's President so they go with whatever DNC plot is going on at the time.
