"I believe the Bush Administration's blustering unilateralism is wrong, and even dangerous, for our country. In practice, it has meant alienating our long-time friends and allies, alarming potential foes and spreading anti-Americanism around the world."

--- Kerry, Foreign Policy Speech
Georgetown University, Jan. 23, 2003
http://www.gwu.edu/~action/2004/issues/kerr012303spfp.html

Apparently, according to Kerry, "alarming potential foes" is a bad thing!

Many Democrats would consider your post to be a pro-Kerry advertisement.

You are absolutely correct about this Jim. This is a "WATERSHED" election. IMHO we have no alternative but to re-elect George Bush, the alternative can be catastrophic.

Great. That kind of thinking just gives President Bush the green light to spend money like a drunken DemocRAT and kick Conservatives in the teeth whenever they demand he pay more than lip service to an issue that is important to them.(See President Bush's response to Tim Russert when asked about Conservative complaints that he is spending too much money).

There are two ways to destroy this country: from without and from within. Robinson makes a great case for the destruction that a President Kerry would inflict on this country by acquiescing to influences outside this country but President Bush is doing yeoman's work in destroying this country from within by expanding government to unprecedented levels and spending money like it grows on trees.

There is something to be said for holding a poltician's feet to the fire. If you don't make your candidate work to get your vote then he will treat you like a two-bit whore.

Even as a frequent critic of many of President Bush's actions, I largely agree with this assessment. I would also add that the president has almost always done what he promised to do when he ran in 2000. The actions that I haven't liked have been actions that he took to fulfill promises that he made to the people who elected him (except for campaign finance reform). Therefore, much of the criticism of his actions is criticism of what too many of the American people want right now. The battle is to change how people see the issues and what policies they support.

Another important point in this election is that we must support conservatives all the way down the ballot. President Bush with 58 conservatives in the U.S. Senate will do more good for the country than President Bush with 52 conservatives. Gains in the House of Representatives would also let President Bush go further in the conservative direction.

Finally, we need to remind conservatives often and vehemently that they must get to the polls on election day. Some pundits estimated that President Bush lost thousands of votes in Florida because voters in the panhandle didn't bother to vote after the media called Florida for Gore before polls had closed in Pensacola. Those votes could have prevented the entire recount fiasco. Even if one is in the last precinct of the last state to keep polls open and the media has called every race in the country, one should make the effort to record his conservative votes everywhere on the ballot.

Well, four and a half
Bill

Yep, what you said. Honestly, I'm scared to death of the thought of having Kerry as the Commander and Chief. I had kids in the military during the Clinton years and it was miserable.

Excellent Post.
John Kerry has voted in favor of Partial Birth Abortion (counting veto overturns) 8 Times!
He has voted against the military spending and intelligence spending at every opportunity.
Kerry has supported Communist organizations against the US.
Kerry is a compulsive liar and flip flopper.
John Kerry makes Bill Clinton look like Newt. Kerry's Liberal score - 92 is better than Teddy K's - 90.
Kerry votes against the 2nd Amend. at EVERY opportunity.
He must be stopped. I firmly believe this.

Vote for anyone but Bush - at the expense of your rights... once they are gone, you wont get them back.. the Supreme Court he installs will ensure that.

Stop John Kerry

Great summation of the situation!

I can't imagine how anyone who claims to be a conservative could do anything to help Kerry get elected.
