Comments from the Dean Site concerning Dean's speech to withdraw from the Presidential Race
SPEECH AT 1 PM
I had a nightmare last night. It was a commercial that said, "Health insurance premiums have gone up 800% because of malpractice lawyers like John Edwards waging frivilous law suits against good doctors. When doctors have to pay $40 million dollars, those costs are passed on to you, the average american trying to make ends meet. John Edwards wants you to think he's one of the little guys -- and then it cut to cut after cut of JE saying, "My daddy worked in a mill" -- Since when does the little guy make $40 million dollars on the backs of Americans?
I awoke shaking.

Alex Polier's father had it correct the first time: Kerry is a "sleazeball." I will never, ever vote for Kerry. I will not vote for Edwards. And I have voted for the Democratic candidate in every election since I could vote.
If Dean endorses either of those corrupt men, Dean does not speak for me. Moreover, Dean will prove himself to be as corrupt as they are. I will go Green--forever. So will my money.

If Kerry and Bush are the same, and Kerry wins, we get stuck with him for maybe 8 years! If Bush wins we have a chance in 08!
KERRY CAN'T WIN! AT ALL COST!
Even if that means BUSH!

I suppose that is the silver lining: a Bush win in 2004 opens up the way for Dean 2008 -- and no incumbent!

I agree with Seattle...there is no way we could hold Kerry "accountable." Kerry is such a lying sleaze that he can never be held accountable. Kerry can only be defeated.
I will now work to save our nation from both Bush and Kerry.

I will support you, Governor Dean, but I will never support either John Kerry or John Edwards. They are spineless opportunists who have shown atrocious judgement with respect to the most important decisions a president will ever make - decisions about war and peace. Electing either one of them will change absolutely nothing.

Thought you would like to see the best of what the Dean supporters were saying after Dean left the race. They could have written campaign commercials for Bush-Cheney '04 last night!
These people are angry at Dean for dropping out and some were asking why since he was ahead of Edwards in the delegate count.
Now I see that Dean will probably endorse Edwards -- makes you wonder what deals are being struck and who is behind the deals.
It is important that we know what the opposition is saying -- this was enlightening.
Some comments I have seen on here against Pres Bush were the same I was reading last night. Very interesting to say the least!

This is really important that we see what the opposition supporters are saying since their candidate is saying we must support the DemocRAT candidate. A lot of the comments were 180 from what Dean was demanding of his supporters.
If anyone would like the full emails of comments relating to Kerry/Edwards/Nader, please freep mail me.

It appears that no matter which way this campaign develops it will be very contentious with all sorts of accusations being made.... Look at what's coming out of the woodwork with Flynt, Moore, Soros, etc and I'm sure many more to come.

If Dean backs Edwards (a trial lawyer who is responsible for the rising cost of health care) it just goes to show you that Dean is as corrupt as the rest.

just goes to show you that Dean is as corrupt as the rest. That's exactly what I got out of all of this on Dean. His supporters seemed to be a lot of first time voters or Nader people and they were not happy with the thought he might endorse someone before Super Tuesday.
His endorsement of Edwards and giving their mailing list to DNC is not going over well and will probably get worse. By late last night the Dean campaign seemed to be culling out the real negatives toward Edwards that were posted earlier.

What's the url for Dean's site? And, sounds like some mad Deaniacs are going to go back to downloading music instead of paying attention to politics.
This kind of information would be good for newspaper forums to show how the dem party is splintering because lots of dems can't take Kerry or Edwards and think they are sleazeballs.
So, either they'll stay home mad or they'll wake up and go GOP. Who knows? But, the dem party of Bubba, Hitlery and McAwful is on very shaky ground. A PARTY BUILT ON SAND.

Edwards always touting the "working man" spends a lot of time trying to separate them from their money for his campaign.
EDWARDS is always about to run out of campaign cash and isn't shy about asking for more.
Sounds like the Deaniacs are going to go to the mall instead of RE-FUND him.

This just proves something that we got little glimpses of throughout Dean's candidacy - his supporters are a bunch of slack-jawed, glaasy-eyed potheads who don't know doodly-squat about the mechanics of running a successful political campaign. They're enraged about their guy "selling out" to the Rat "Establishment" and just can't grasp that if Dean tells the establishment to bugger off, any slim hopes he may have of being a viable candidate in 2008 would be dead, dead, dead. He and his supporters would be reduced to fringe LaRouche-type whack jobs whose only influence in the Rat party would be heckling the real candidates at future debates and policy speeches. As much as they rail against the Washington insiders, they really need them, especially when the party is under the iron fist of the Clintons.

When he doesn't take their advice, they get mad. Never have seen anything like it. A lot of them were first time voters they said and one was in his 60's.

He said that he may as well have been speaking Attic Greek, these people were so clueless. Not only that, they were totally uninterested in even trying to learn how to mobilize support for their candidate - all they wanted to do is sit around and tell each other how much of a Nazi Bush was. These are the kind of people Kerry and Edwards want working for their campaigns?

Some voting directly for Dubya, others taking their efforts to the Green Party.
The anti-Dean efforts will hobble the Dems. There are a lot more of the anti-war types than there are folks ticked off at Bush. Dean might not run, but the Green Party may be a factor.

Yes, interesting!
A Tinfoil Theory:
The following comments were not in the Dean speech on his site, but he made them at the same time he made the address.
-He is no longer 'actively' seeking the presidency
-His name will remain on primary ballots
-He encouraged his supporters to vote for him
He may be doing what he can in his financially depleted condition to position himself in case a vacuum develops before or at the convention. HRC is positioning for the same vacuum, but Dean thinks he can trump her with his delegates.
