That's a beautiful photo, SAM! I can see that we need to experience more of Oregon. The Gorge is just beath-taking.

When would you say is the best time of year to visit Oregon? Do you have a non-rainy - or less-rainy season?

It's nice all year round, but Summer (Middle of June through September) is the best if you're trying to miss the rain.

Hiya Tonk! I was just about to hail you over here.

When I was Googling for Oregon info, I came across so many pictures of the coastline near Bandon and thought of you and how fortunate you are to live in such beautiful country.

Thanks for coming by and for posting the webcam for us. It's sorta, almost like being there. :-)

Hi Lori. BEAUTIFUL job today. Looks like you worked on it for weeks rather than hours! I thought I was well traveled but...sigh another state I have yet to visit!

I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting my package. Feel like the little kid in the Music Man waiting for the "Wells Fargo Wagon" :o)

Mama_Bear, you've really outdone yourself with this one. It is just beautiful, though it makes me a bit teary eyed! After 53 years of Oregon as my home I had to move out of state. I'm only 10 miles from the border, but I still feel a bit "misplaced".

Interesting about Eugene having the first "one" way streets...they've been going the wrong way ever since!!! My beautiful state has been taken over by brainless lefties!!

blackie, I thought you'd like to see this lovely post.

Ah, we could have let John's Post stay up another day but I'm glad I jarred your memory, you came up with a stunningly beautiful Post on Oregon. The history tidbits were the best, learned some interesting things there.
HUGS to one of the best FReeper FRiends around!

BTW...Billie said not to count on losing our jobs. lol

Hi Lori. BEAUTIFUL job today. Looks like you worked on it for weeks rather than hours!

Awwwwwww........thank you, sis. Actually, if I hadn't had a good portion of it already finished, I would have been up the proverbial creek last night. LOL!

You are so cute! I just went into UPS and tracked your package. You will be pleased to know that it was in PIQUA, OH, as of 7:30 this morning. I don't know where PIQUA is, but it has at least made it to your state. LOL

Thank you so much for bringing your Oregon links and photos to us. I just now viewed the videos from the Coos Bay link. My goodness, the force of those waves rolling those boats around like little toys! I love the ocean (I think I must have been a sailor in a past life, LOL), but I certainly wouldn't want to experience those kinds of seas!

Looks like the coast of Oregon can be very treacherous waters for the weekend sailor. Thank God for the Coast Guard and the job they (and you) do!
