Which Bush family members lost their dog? George and Barbara or George and Laura?

I started a thread a few years ago when x42's Chocolate Lab was hit by a car. This is so much different.

She couldn't take living in Barney's shadow.

That's such a shame. Having nearly always had dogs, I know what a profound loss this can be. Dogs are really an important part of the family.

The death of a precious pet weighs heavily on the heart. Anyone who has lost a loyal four-legged friend knows how much it hurts. Rest in peace, faithful Spot.

Sad. But, there's another dog out there with Bush's name on him.

Go get him, George.

Lots of dogs and cats to save.

The news release came from the Office of the Press Secretary, so I'd assume it's the current President and his wife.

Having recently lost a pet of over 13 years, I sympathize.

I think Spot was the current presidents. I remember an article about slamming GB for "creativity" with names.

Awwww. 15 years.
We lost a dog that age, and we were just heart broken. She was always there.
I can see why the Bush family would be sad.

Two years ago I had to have a 15 year old mutt put to sleep. It still hurts.

"Having recently lost a pet of over 13 years, I sympathize."

Losing a pet can very painful....I have been married to my hubby for thirteen years now and the ONLY time I ever saw him break down and cry was when our dog died.
