If homosexuality were "normal" why do I have an extreme revulsion when I see a picture of homosexuals "in action" ? To the point of almost vomiting it is so revolting. (these pictures show up on searches occasionally no matter what)

I have no personal hate for homosexuals. They do not repulse me, just the thought of what they do.

As the Bible teaches, you hate the sin but love the sinner

Leviticus 18: a list of people with whom one should not have sexual relations.

Tell me, what would be the point of Lev 18:18 if married men were forbidden from wedding and bedding anyone but their wife?

Exactly. Its an older law that applies to all souls. This was recognized by the Jews in Jesus's time to remain applicable as a minimum requirement. In addition, I'm unfamiliar with the Jewish law that says "men were forbidden from wedding and bedding anyone but their wife".

Thanks for posting!

Why, oh why, did Dennis Prager decide not to run against Barbara Boxer for the U.S. Senate? The contrast between the two couldn't be clearer.

Dennis addressed the question of why he decided not to run. If I remember correctly, he said something to the effect that he thought it over long and hard and decided that no matter how hard he might try, people would no longer see him as pure of motive when he made any declaration of opinion and that even people he's known for a long time would interact with him as if he had changed. He said he felt he could stay true to himself and effect more good by sticking with the pulpit he has achieved, a pulpit which reaches large numbers of people. Yes, yes, what a tremendous improvement over Boxer he would be.

If celebacy is immoral in Jewish law, why did Jesus not marry and reproduce? Christian tradition holds he was a good Jew. If he did not obey the Torah, what are modern people to think?

One has to accept the divine inspiration of the writings as well as the apparent selective rejection of Leviticus by the Christ? This is disturbing.

The Torah, like the letters of Paul, were directed at their intended audiences. How does one separate the divinely inspired Biblical writer from any number of Saints recognized by the Catholic Church, the same tranditonal institution who voted on what books to include and exclude from the Bible or any number of theological writers over the millenia?

It's intriguing further, if the Jews are "Chosen", and so traditionally focused on family, propogating only within their ethnicity as commanded by Jewish Law, why are there so few of them? Why didn't these other ancient civilizations, ethnicities completely vanish? You can't tell me the Jewish community isn't fearful of dying off and that concern is certainly not exclusively because of the Holocaust.

This piece raises more concerns than it addresses.

I have had no success for two days in bringing up the article from the link you provided. Probably too many hits from Freepers! I Googled the article and came up with the original source and copyright:

http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles2/PragerHomosexuality.shtml

Great post. Dennis Prager is a top-notch thinker and theologian.

“Why, oh why, did Dennis Prager decide not to run against Barbara Boxer for the U.S. Senate? The contrast between the two couldn’t be clearer.”

I think you answered your question with that second sentence.

We have allowed California to slip from our fingers. Boxer is exactly what they want.
