What they fail to notice/mention is that many Jews in the film are portrayed as sympathetic, objecting to the manner in which Jesus was arrested, objecting to the "trial," ("This is a travesty! A beastly travesy!").

If anything, it was anti-Roman--those guys GLEEFULLY scourged him, laughed, mocked, and beat him. A handful of Jews pressed for his death and stirred a mob-mentality.

This is no surprise. He is a Christian(practicing) devoted family man, and he did it his way. Now to make a movie about Christ. You knew this had to happen. Orson Wells bucked the big shots(in their minds) in HW too. Eveyone remembers Orson Wells, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of one of his detractors.

Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, who along with Steven Spielberg are the big cheeses at the powerful DreamWorks, and who just happen to be Democrat activists, are angry about the movie, according to the Times. And the chairmen of two other big studios say they won't work with Gibson.

Gee...and where's the Left's outcry over this most egregious CENSORSHIP, hmmmm?

Talk about a blacklist! The duplicity of these people is unbelievable. When John Travolta made a movie based on a book by the Scientology creator, were people threatening never to work with him again? But when Gibson makes a film about his faith, he's not going to work in Hollywood again?

Another amazing thing about this story: Whenever people claim Jewish ownership of media, they are called bigots. Look at the Jewish opposition lining up and their significant roles in the media described in this story. Doesn't exactly diffuse that argument.

I'll have to wait to make this call, but I'm betting the reaction against this film will prove to be just as powerful a witness as the film itself. The stumbling block indeed.

Maybe this is the real motive behind Jewish criticisms and the Passion movie. Maybe Jewish leaders are afraid that some fellow Jews may decide to accept Jesus as their long awaited Messiah. Maybe modern Jewish leaders fear mass revolt within their own congregations. Jesus presented this same challenge 2000 years ago and many feared Him. The leaders feared $$$ loses as He turned over the tables of their money changers as well as their interpretation of Law. Jesus was and is still is the "Rock of Offense" ....
