*Rare* Audio: Listen to John Kerry LIE to Congress in 1971

In 1971, John Kerry went before the Senate Foreign Relations committee and, inter alia, testified to "War Crimes" uncovered by Jane Fonda's "Winter Soldier Investigation." See, e.g., wintersoldier.com.

In April, the VVAW stormed Washington in a week-long protest. At the height of it, spokeman John Kerry went before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations to accuse the United States military of committing massive numbers of war crimes in Vietnam. The appearance launched Kerry's political career. The charges he made shocked and sickened a nation, changed the course of a war and stained the reputation of the American military for decades.

But the mass murder of civilians was never American policy in Vietnam. War crimes were the exception, not the rule. And the Winter Soldier tribunal itself -- which John Kerry had helped moderate -- turned out to be, in the words of historian Guenter Lewy, "packed with pretenders and liars."

I don't know if you saw yesterday's thread about the POW/MIA Families Against John Kerry website and I don't know if WinterSoldier.com may want to link to it. It's a small website with photos and comments from family members of Vietnam POW/MIAs.

Here is an excerpt from one that is very interesting:

I have a video copy of these hearings [1992] which clearly show how these "ERRORS OF FACT" served to close the discussion on the case of Eight Crewmembers of "Baron -52 " When I personally wrote to Senator Kerry's office to question his lack of action, given this "new" found knowledge.. I received an acknowledgement of receipt of my letter. I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FURTHER.
I have been admonished (in writing) for even questioning the above lack of action and erroneous handling of the committee hearings as being "unfair" to the Senators. (I have copies of these letters.)
NOTHING has been said about the "fairness" to Sgt. Matejov however, or the other crew members who are not present to speak for themselves. These eight crew have been buried both figuratively and literally in Arlington, in a common casket with 23 bone fragments. One of my government documents state that these 23 bone fragments "cannot be determined to be of human origin". It is signed and dated.
But Senator Kerry goes out to our unsuspecting public stating that "He has pressed our government for answers concerning the POW issue!" ? He attempts to become our "Commander in Chief"? You call THESE answers?
Please contact me if you care to read these and many more documents, view pictures and videos that back up what I have written here. These comments I have made only scratch the surface, and I have attempted to make them as brief and palatable as I could.

This kind of testimony from family members shows that Kerry, chameleon flipflopper that he is, has actually been consistent about one thing: He has continued to spit on those who served in Vietnam all these years, and he spit on the Vietnamese refugees as well.
