GWB's next ad should be at the World Trade Center speaking through the bullhorn with firemen standing in the background.

That will really get the DEMS growling!

Thank you! I've wanted to say that all day, but I keep erasing the words as I typed. It does appear that the wrong people were stuck on those buildings and airplanes that day, these ungrateful, sick pieces of garbage in the news today. I have NEVER been so disgusted, even by FL 2000, the funeral in MN, or any other crap they have pulled. I am so furious.

By the end of this election, these freak Kerry people are going to be sorry, because we will all be so furious and disgusted, even the most disenchanted conservative will not only vote for Bush, but will be volunteering like never before.

...looks suspiciously hypocritical, doesn't it? I'm SO tired of the one-sided B.S.

I'd say the Firefighters Union doesn't represent the true feelings of many of it's members.

It's an international union, the International Association of firefighters.

It most likely represents international feelings. That's why it endorses Kerry, the world's candidate for America, to make America weak.

There's nothing distasteful or negative about the President new ads. To the contrary, they're patriotic and uplifting. And that's precisely what bothers the Democrats. They can't stand ANY good mention of America or anything that might remind people of President Bush's accomplishments in the War On Terror. The other party needs bad news to win and so far isn't getting enough it to frighten the American people into voting for them.

"I would vote for Saddam Hussein before I would vote for Bush."

The guy who said that lost a son in the WTC.

That son was previously a political appointee of Mel Carnahan who lost his job to a Republican when he had to face the voters in a referrendum on his performance.

His father is a jerk, who is using his son's unfortunate death to score points for his political party.

But you'd never learn that if you only read the Reuters article. They didn't find any of that information relevant. You'd think he was merely a grieving father, rather than an opportunistic political hack scumbag.

I watched one of these people. They had the talking points down pat. Bet they were coached for months in what to say.

Carville fingerprints all over this.

I hope Bush rams these ads up the dims, well you know.. Can't wait to see the aircraft landing ad. Salute the troops.

The louder the dims scream, the more you know it hurts. BTW, is it OK for Kerry to use the Vietnam dead as props?

Here's a shot of a presidential candidate using the flag, the military and firefighters for political gain.

These scumbags are leftists activists, as can be seen on their idiot website. If bush never mentioned the 9-11 attacks he would be castigated by these rats as forgetting their loved ones, screw them, I am very angry my tax dollars went to these evil bastards.

I am sick of hearing about and seeing these people who are complaining about the ads. Today must be a letter-writing day for me - here's one I just sent off to the Families of September 11 organization, since their group was mentioned in an interview with O'Reilly and with Hissy Chrissy this evening. One thing we can probably all agree on: The Dummywits will do anything and everything to prevent highlighting the strengths of this President, since their candidate is very weak in the area of national security.

All of America shares your grief in the loss of loved ones on September 11. Your organization was organized to provide strength and support for fellow citizens and it is a noble cause.

Your recent media blitz to criticize the use of a brief reminder of that tragic day seems a bit disingenuous and you marginalize your cause by such criticism.

Regardless of your political affiliation, you cannot deny that George Bush was President at the time of the tragedy. The ads he is using, and I hope will continue to use, reminds everyone in this country that September 11 was a turning point in his Presidency and in this nation. It is an emotional nudge that too many Americans need, since so many of those polled in the recent election place the threat of terrorism as far down as 6th in their priorities. You are criticizing a man who is doing everything he possibly can to prevent another catastrophe. His opponent, John Kerry, in his own words thinks the threat of terrorism has been exaggerated. Do you think it has? I doubt very much if you do.

There is no exploitation for political gain. There ARE visual reminders of the loss we, as a nation, suffered and the enormous challenges this President and this country face every day. Your excessive rants are doing nothing more than minimizing your personal loss and emphasizing your personal agendas.

Well, I just heard yet another "upset family member" on Debra Norville's show use the phrases "on his watch" and "while the Twin Towers burned, he was in a classroom reading to children."

That makes about 50 today so far.

Schaitberger is just another useless pinky ring, rolex wearing union hack.Jerks like that only care about themselves and their fellow dead weight useless hacks. They look down at the hard working dedicated firefighters as chumps.Union leaders only fight for the useless workers.I was Teamster for about 5 years and worked hard. The business reps only cared about the union members who never showed-up on time, took drugs or drank and general screw-ups.The only time they knew me was when they need my vote.

This morning I was listening to a talk show on my way to work. A NYC Firefighter called in and spoke of the Firefighters who are supporting Kerry. He said that he would guarantee that there weren't any signs with NYFD on them showing support for Kerry. He said you could go to any Firehouse in New York City, and you will find the Firefighters support President Bush.

I am very sorry for the families that lost loved ones that day. America was attacked on 9/11. President Bush has gone after the terrorists, unlike the previous administration. All this Bush bashing makes me sick.

Nice catch -- the article is significantly different, and actually includes a few voices in support of the ads. The media must be getting some flak for their totally biased spinning of this story.

I am amazed by this. After all the money and support (emotional and otherwise) that has been given to these families-- the way that some are acting so nakedly partisan and petty is sad. We didn't give the people of OKC anything and they have never behaved in this manner. It's a real shame how some 9-11 families are behaving.

And the more we do for them, the more they demand. If they have their way, nothing will ever be built again anywhere near Ground Zero.

This may get a lot of people upset, but I've been saying for some time now that by the time this is all over we're going to wish those 3,000 people were still alive and many of their family members were in those buildings instead. New Yorkers always have a way of pointing out to us that the city is filled with professional malcontents.

I reached my limit with paying attention to anything these professional victims had to say when Lisa Beamer wrote a New York Times op-ed defending Robert Torricelli.
