The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is pleased to announce its candidate endorsements for the March 9th Primary.
The criterion to endorse a candidate was a 2/3 vote in a 2 person race and a majority vote in a race with 3 or more candidates.
U.S. Rep. Dist.10 - No candidate received a majority
(This race may be revisited for a runoff)

Justice, 3rd Ct of Appeals, P4 - Ernest GARCIA (His opponent Green is a Democrat)
Justice, 3rd Ct of Appeals, P6 - Bob PEMBERTON (Incumbent)

Interesting...and I agree. A runoff seems almost a certainty. The real question is between whom?

I'll bet it McCaul & Streusand. Streusand gets the Harris County votes and McCaul gets the Travis County. I have no idea who will get the in between along the 290 trail.

Turnout looks pretty low. There was no line for voting today and the election workers looked pretty bored. I wouldn't rule out Devine or Phillips either. I think the soccer/security moms might just sit this one out.

What is the name of the judge that is/was against
election of judges?
I think, he is on the Texas SC, or the top criminal appeal court.
