U.S. employers added a paltry 21,000 workers

That won't begin to keep up with the rate of immigration. How many immigrants moved in during that time? Double? Triple?

I have a suspicion about all these statistics. The economy around where I live is busting at the seams.

I agree! Just heard yesterday (on Fox???) that last week was lowest new unemployment claims in two years. I think it all depends on what your objective is. You can find some figure to support your POV.

It's insanity. If I didn't know better, I'd swear Bush is actually purposely trying to depress the job market.

The White House didn't help either here. They predicted an average of 306,000 jobs created a month in their economic forecast in January, which they now have backed away from big time.

Wall Street had nothing to do with the White House forecasting 2.3 million new jobs this year. It all is an expectations game though. Consumer confidence is going to get really ugly next month. The Dow is already down 58, Nasdaq 18 based on these numbers.

Do you mean you like high taxes, high insurance premiums, and high legal cost?? Until these things are brought under control, business will continue to leave, can you actually blame them? Vote Republican.

I can't make that call. I do know my vote is dependent on the Assault Weapons Ban issue. I think perhaps it always has been.

And kerry will do what.

You mean the Republicans who are raising entitlements at the highest growth levels in years? The Republicans who team with Democrats to make insurance mandatory? The Republicans who cave every time tort reform is brought up? Those Republicans?

The part where only 21,000 jobs were created last month.

Laz would have been calling for Reagan's head in 84 when unemployment was in the 7% range.

Coincidentally... the government added 21,000 jobs last month. If government quit hiring, and running up the debt, we would have had zero growth at all.

On the other hand, if government didn't hire 21,000 more people per month, perhaps our economy wouldn't be so f*#*ed.

Insurance madatory? Huh?

Also it is the demos in the Senate who are blocking tort reform. It is pretty easy for them do since the Senate is 50/50.

Interesting that you never have a bad word for the demos.
