FREEP: Ed Asner and the Commies in Seattle, March 20
Sound Nonviolent Opponents of War (S.N.O.W.) ^ | 3/6/04 | Radical America-hating Leftist

Posted on 03/06/2004 12:51:38 PM PST by ppaul

Ed Asner is coming to Seattle to run up the white flag, encourage relinquishing U.S. sovereignty to the U.N. and support freedom's enemies. These America-hating nut-jobs are all over the overpasses on I-5 today with banners. They're planning a big rally to give aid and comfort to terrorists worldwide by running down our country and President Bush. Great FReepin' opportunity.

Not war, but leverage is this man's driving force. He seeks to destroy this nation as you and most reasoned Americans know and desire it. McCarthy was a couple of generations too early. Well that isn't true, it's just that those he sought to 'out' are exponentially more powerful today.

Oh boy, here we go with the useful idots-used-by-communist-organizers "Statement of Principles"

We seek justice, equality, and a peaceful existence;

We uphold the principles of the sanctity of human life and dignity;

We uphold the rule of law over the rule of power;

We are unequivocally opposed to the killing of any innocent civilians and we reject all justifications for harming the innocent;

We reject all forms of racism and ethnic and religious intolerance;

We reject the continued military occupation and colonization of Palestinian lands in violation of international law;

We uphold the Palestinian Right of Return as an inalienable right enshrined in international human rights standards including Universal Declaration of Human Rights (?), Article 13, which states: "Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country"; and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Article 12, which states: "No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of the right to enter his own country";

We uphold UN General Assembly Resolution 194 recognized by the international community through repeated assertions every year beginning in 1948. Resolution 194 calls on Israel to permit the repatriation of the Palestinians who had been displaced in 1948 and views Israel as being legally required to do so. Resolution 194, Paragraph 11 clearly recognizes this right-to-return by affirming that every refugee should be permitted to return and clearly identifying it as an individual choice that cannot be made by others on behalf of the individual. It states "that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so as the earliest practicable date";

We affirm that every Palestinian has a legitimate right to return to his or her original home and to absolute restitution of his or her property; (darn those pesky Jews...)

We affirm that Palestinian human rights cannot be negotiated away;

We believe that dialogue and negotiations should concern the implementation of international law and human rights standards, not the laws and standards themselves;

We welcome the efforts of all like-minded, peace-loving people.

Signed by the following Palestine-related groups in Seattle:

American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) – Seattle Chapter, Arab Center of Washington (ACW), Arab-American Community Coalition (AACC), Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR), Hayaat – UW, Muslims Students Association (MSA) – UW, Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC), Voices of Palestine (VOP)

God bless. Voices of Palestine

Seattle isn't part of America. Here we have statues of Lenin in our parks and a major league baseball park that won't fly the American flag anywhere visible from outside the park so it doesn't offend the locals.

And Ed Assner's last big movie was?

Ed Assner's last big Academy Award was?

Ed Assner's last big TV show was?

When you don't have people knocking down your doors to beg you to do this movie or that...then I guess you have to get your attention elsewhere. How old is this guy anyway? Just curious. Definitely don't care. I always thought he played a pretty true to life character in the MTM show. Grouchy, grumpy, unhappy, ignorant and rude.

Ed Asner grew up under one on the most brutal dictatorships in history, in Argentina. It taught him NOTHING.

He didn't have a clue then.

He doesn't have a clue now.

Here is the Pastor of this church, from the church site.:

February 10, 2004

With Humility, We Apologize To the Nations of the World, Citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan, and Members of the Islamic Faith:

We believe in the power of admitting error, or of error made on our behalf, as a first step toward restoration of relationship.

As citizens of the United States of America, we have witnessed the actions of our government since the fateful terrorist attack against our country on September 11, 2001. And we are dismayed. On that terrible day, hate and revenge reigned. Those who committed those destructive and violent acts of terrorism deserve condemnation. Following that day, the sympathy of the world was with our nation, and it was deeply appreciated.

We would have hoped that our government would have taken a high moral road following those attacks and called the nations of the world to closer collaboration. It would have been a call away from preemptive attacks, away from waging war, and away from revenge. It would have called for greater economic, political and diplomatic collaboration. It would have strengthened security preparedness. It would have called for greater unity among the world’s three great monotheistic faiths. It would have called for a collaborative, focused effort by the community of nations to identify, arrest, dismantle and marginalize terrorist organizations, not governments. It would have caused us to stand with and respect our friends.

Instead, our nation has acted unilaterally, and the so-called “partner-nations” have acquiesced--mostly by intimidation or by reward, not out of their sense of what is right. Most of these “partner-nations” have alienated their own citizens by their cooperation. We have engaged in preemptive attack against other nations. The result has been the strengthening of the terrorist cause offering them easy targets in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as other places such as Indonesia and Turkey.

Instead of mobilizing decency and good will, we have alienated many nations and peoples of the world. Because of US American military and economic might, we have acted more like a bully rather than use our strength for the good of all. We have acted like an empire rather than a leader among sovereign nations.

We deeply regret the loss of life among our American soldiers. We likewise regret the loss of life among other soldiers and civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have found ourselves imposing western-style democracy on nations with little interest or tradition for this approach to governance. We have not been liberators but occupiers.

We regret that we have not been told the truth by our own government. Nearly all the evidence and justification for the invasion of Iraq have been misleading or inaccurate.

Within our country, we have found that our own laws and freedoms have been compromised and persons of Arab descent and persons of Islamic faith have been unfairly targeted. This falls beneath the standards we expect of our government.

Using color-coded alerts, our leaders have tried to change our national psyche from security to fear. We do not want to participate in this culture of fear.

The United States of America was founded on principles that have been abrogated. Because of this, we reach out to the nations and citizens of the world and express our profound regret and sincere apology.

Asner not too long ago lamented that there had not been a tv or movie that did justice for his hero Joe Stalin and that he would have liked to have played him.
That is all you need to know about Ed Asner, he is a life long Communist.
I just wonder how he reconciles his communism with the fact that he has made all of his money under a Capitalist
system??????????????????????????

I am sure not, but I just can't figure out why a man of God would host something with Ed Asner, knowing his politics, and pass it off as a righteous thing for his congregation to participate in, let alone broadcasting to the area that he, a minister is standing alongside Asner AGAINST our President !! We are falling fast.

How refreshing had he hosted a Day of Prayer for our country and our troops..and for God to grant wisdom to our President. I just am so saddened by this. Does anyone take serving God seriously ?

Asner, of course, is nominally Jewish. As such he is one of the most prominent of the collaborationist kapos who currently infest Hollywood. In one sense he is worse than his WW2 predecessors: they were acting under coercion when they sold their fellow Jews to the Nazis. Asner is not trying to save himself or his family when he kowtows to the Islamofascists and their fifth column, he is apparently seeking personal gain in the form of publicity and career advancement. In lending his name to this SNOW-job, which openly calls for the destruction of Israel and endorses the slaughter of Israeli civilians by genocidal terrorists, Asner has followed the path of Julius Streicher. He should share his fate.
