Jim Slinsky is a popular Pennsylvania talk radio host who has a weekly show that covers hunting and fishing. He is active in PA environmental issues and was a leader of the fight that delayed the confirmation of algore Kyoto mouthpiece and flunkie Katie McGinty, as Gov Rendell's Secy of Environmental Resources.

I don't know why this bill is labeled S.1072 if it's in the House, or why Pombo is the suggested target of the faxes. I'll do some research.

To review, the Green fanatics in the "environmental" organizations and their counterparts in the Federal bureaucracies have already listed pheasants, rainbow trout, crownvetch, baby?s breath, day lilies, and even cats and dogs as "Invasive Species". Need I say more?

They left out 'people'?

Out here, they prefere that only small groups of 'environmentally concious' individuals be alowed 'limited access' to "pristine protected wildlands".

DO NOT ALLOW
THIS TO HAPPEN
TO YOU!

They haven't managed it yet, but they are pushing.

If anyone thinks that this type of thing can't be enacted into law without open House or Senate debate, you only have to look back at what happened with the U.N. Convention to Combat Desertification vote back in 2000. And this treaty is now a Constitutionally binding law.

Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott made it out to be a simple mistake. Yea right. This is the same guy who cut the 100 to 0 deal with the Dumocrats not to call any embarrasing witnesses in the impeachment trial of Clinton. If it was a mistake, why didn't the Senate vote to abrogate the desertification treaty? In fact, that was never even considered. The fix was in.

Are the GWB advisors that dumb? Or do they just think the same way big government liberals do?

But wait, there's more: Treaty by stealth - again!

How best, then, to get "Invasive Species" into law and kick-start Wildlands? Simple; slip it into a must-pass, massive bill such as the transportation bill now sitting in the House of Representatives, known as SAFETEA or S.1072. No one will see it.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I'm going to be in touch with them in the morning! I can't say what I'm really feeling but suffice to say that I'm MAD. I've got some land that's sits by the river and is close to a game refuge that's going to be affected.

Look for the AWB to be tucked into a bill like this too. Our congress critters are irresponsible to pass bills on though like this. There should be a law that one bill goes forth at a time. I've seen how large those bills get and I'm sure most critters don't even read them, but they pass them anyway.

Good article! I hear Slinksy's radio show is on in several other states too now. Too many of the sporting groups are buying into the environmentalists claim that saving the environment will be good for hunting and fishing. The groups don't look deeply enough at the agenda to see that in the long run those too will be banned.

Jim is well aware of the agenda - he's attended some of the radical conferences to see it!
