The world wants W out: Kerry
New York Daily News ^ | 3/09/04 | HELEN KENNEDY

Posted on 03/09/2004 2:42:38 AM PST by kattracks

WASHINGTON - Expanding his lead in a national poll, Democrat John Kerry made waves yesterday by saying foreign pols have confided they are rooting for him.

"I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly but, boy, they look at you and say, 'You've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy' - things like that," Kerry said.

President Bush is widely unpopular in many parts of the world, but Kerry's comment came close to flouting the longstanding American tradition of leaving partisan politics at the water's edge.

Kerry "may have friends in countries like France who would rather see him as President, but American voters will make that decision," said Bush campaign spokesman Scott Stanzel.

Bush boosters routinely lampoon Kerry's fluency in French and his year at a Swiss boarding school, hoping to tar him with voter anger against French opposition to war in Iraq.

Bush, who touts his unilateral policies, portrayed Kerry as being in the pocket of foreign leaders.

"My opponent says he approves of bold action in the world, but only if other countries don't object," Bush said.

But the tough talk of Bush's debut on the campaign trail does not appear to have given him a boost.

A new Gallup Poll showed Kerry leading Bush by 52% to 44%.

In Florida, where the 2000 election was decided after a chaotic 36-day recount, a new Miami Herald poll had Kerry at 49% and Bush at 43%.

Kerry said he was already preparing legal challenges.

When a Florida voter asked Kerry what he would do "to prevent them from stealing the election," he said, "We're going to have the legal team in place. We're going to take injunctions where necessary ahead of time. We'll pre-challenge if necessary."

'Flipper' is not going to be the President.

'Flipper' is not even going to be close.

He is on the path to self-destruction, and like Dean, who was flying in the polls, he is headed for a rendezvous with Terminal Velocity.

Kerry blames every man on this wall. Now, he wants your vote.

Carl Cameron was just on FNC saying that Kerry is telling people that he has been calling foreign leaders ..

"I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly, but boy, they look at you and say, 'You've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy,' things like that," Kerry told a crowd.

Nothing like openingly undermining our countries national security.

Can some one explain to me what right John Kerry has talking to leaders of other countries? To me, this absolutely undermines our national security. It appears that Kerry is prematurely assuming the role of President.

John Kerry said some foreign leaders had told him they hoped he would beat President Bush.

UN Kerry would cede our sovereignty to the UN. Deploy ONLY under control of UN.

Communist Party USA   endorsed Kerry  Just right-click HERE, then and choose "save as."

North Korea  endorsed Kerry Pyongyang seems to hope victory for the Democratic candidate on November 2 would lead to a softening in US policy towards the country's nuclear weapons program. Kerry would negotiate directly with the North Koreans

Iran Kerry in direct email contact with that government, attempting to gain influence.

North Vietnam & Vietnam John Kerry and the VVAW signed the "People's Peace Treaty" , ceding victory to NVN.

Just to be clear, the "People's Peace Treaty" were simply the Viet Cong's terms. So when Kerry said the following, he was saying we should just sign the People's Peace Treaty and accept the VC's terms. (Madam Win Thi Binh was the Foreign Minister of the PRG--the Viet Cong.)

Kerry: "I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned."

Even if this is true, so what?

The job of the U.S. President is not to keep the Euroweenies or Communist dictators happy. His job is to protect the United States and American interests.

If he doesn't understand that, and obviously he doesn't, he is not qualified to run.

I was thinking the very same thing. The statements coming out of the mouth of this man are laughable, and when woven together show a man who is mentally unprepared to even think about aspiring to the Presidency.

Ridicule has always been the key to political victory.

The GOP embrace it reluctantly, while I, on the other hand, LOVE IT!

Here's how to start:

Flipper, the Slippery Senator;

The Mass-churian Candidate;

John Fonda Kerry;

Kerry has earned the endorsement of foreign leaders, including Aristide, Castro, Bin Laden and The Ayatollah.

Kerry wants to be the Second Black President - Let's make him the Last Red Senator.

"Kerry's comment came close to flouting the longstanding American tradition of leaving partisan politics at the water's edge..."

The democrats, the Clinton Admin and just about all the left has been all over the world slamming the President from the beginning of his term.

Do these dimwits really think that if they win, the backlash from the right is going to be a polite headshake?

The left wants power at any cost, thinks they can neutralize the right if they win, and have never thought of the consequences to THEM if they do.

Paybacks are hell.

Why should we care what the leaders of the rest of the world want? Break it down to the base root of the issue and all they really want is our money.

Thanks for that post... definitely more reason not to vote for that nut job.

Considering Captain Kerry's conduct during the Vietnam War why are you surprised about his actions as we fight the War on Terror?
Senator Kerry take an oath to protect and uphold the Constitution against all enemies FOREIGN and domestic and he is breaking that, what would make anyone beleive he would serve any better as president?
The man obviously has a problem with putting American interests above all others.

LOL.

Here's a telling moment: About ten minutes ago, one of the morning shows cut to a clip of Kerry droning his usual .."This administration is the most inept, arrogant, blah, blah, blah..."

My very non-political wife was walking by and and she very uncharacteristically shouted out, "AAAH SHADDUP" with a disgusted look on her face.

First of all, the fact that he didn't defend a fellow American (and president at that!) against attacks from foreigners proves he's an unpatriotic whore. Second of all, the fact that foreigners hate Bush is all the more reason to vote for him. When this thing started, I thought Dean was a nut who needed to be stopped. But every time Kerry opens his disgusting mouth I get more mad at him. He's a total dirtbag, scumsucking, horse-faced, gold digging, brother of a band of traitors.
