Penetrating bump! This really looks to be timely and important reading.

And at the end of his lecture . . . In the summer of 2000 . . . [Brokaw] said that he considers it his job, and he considers his job well done if, at the close of the day, the American people go to bed, go to sleep, thinking that they are in good hands. Now I thought that’s what Tom Brokaw thought his job was, but [Christopher Hitchens] was amazed to see him being so candid about it. In other words, here was a man who said the responsibility for consensus, for reassurance rests on my shoulders and it is part of my job to make sure that everyone does feel that pretty much everything is OK. This means that certain disturbing thoughts may not be allowed to arise.

Not during a Democratic administration. It's not a question of merely parroting an official line; it's a question of parroting a left-wing line. Journalism parrots a left-wing line because journalism's definition of news is a good definition of the leftist perspective.

Leftist politicians follow journalists more than they lead them.

From JimRob's foreword:

Web sites such as The DrudgeReport, WorldNetDaily, NewsMax, FrontPageMagazine, Lucianne, FreeRepublic, and countless others have given voice to millions of liberty-minded individuals. Underground pamphleteers ignited the flames of revolution in 1776. Now the Internet is fanning those flames all over again. And that’s bad news for Hillary.

I think JimRob was too gracious towards Trixie. She never posed any threat to HILLARY!
