ARAB-AMERICAN GROUP WHINING OVER BUSH AD
The Bush campaign is catching heat from an Arab-American group for accurately portraying the truth in a campaign ad. The group is calling on Bush to remove a "Middle Eastern looking" man from an ad that focuses on terrorism. The president of the Arab-American Institute is calling it racial profiling. The Bush campaign is telling them to stick it. Time for a little insensitivity training.
Yeah ... you heard that right. Arab-Americans are complaining because there's a Middle Eastern looking man portrayed as a terrorist in a campaign ad. Using a person of Middle Eastern decent to portray a terrorist is like using a tall person to portray an NBA center.
So we really need to go over the facts here? All of the terrorists on 9/11 were Arabs, all of the terrorists on 9/11 were Muslims, all of the terrorists on 9/11 were "Middle Eastern-looking" men. So, to accurately portray the truth and to represent a terrorist in a commercial, what do you expect the Bush campaign to do? A regular old white guy isn't going to look very convincing as an Islamic terrorist. It would be a tough sell, even with a turban.
A better response to this would be to ask the president of this group why so many terrorists supposedly practice the "peaceful" religion of Islam? Why does Allah tell them to blow up so many innocent civilians? Where is it written that flying airplanes into buildings, blowing up buses and using suicide bombers in busy cafes is peaceful? It isn't, and it's not.
It's time for these groups to worry more about how the terrorists make them look than about how terrorists are portrayed in campaign ads.

Almopst every religion can be torn apart, even though they don't end up killing people. It's a shame the 1 religion that is truly a sham is protected. You will not see a Mormon strapping on a bomb.

For sure. I spend lots of time in the Chicago community area with the highest concentration of Muslims. One valid generalization for these neighbors is that they don't show a scintilla of loyalty for the United States.
I've been waiting (but not holding my breath) since 9-11 for some convincing display of solidarity with this country, but that hasn't been forthcoming. But then, patriotism should not be expected from those whose loyalty is to global theocracy.

If they are going to get their short hairs in an uproar, why not go about it by protesting against each and every terrorist attack on innocent civilians (and our military)? I would have some sympathy for them IF they would denouce the muslim fanatics. I'm not holding my breath............and the silence is deafening. Zogby the Demo pollster is doing his best to crab everywhere he can about this "unPC" ad. I'm glad the WH isnt backing down on this.

Well, for what it's worth people seem to be paying less and less attention to these complaints.

"The Bush campaign is telling them to stick it."
The best thing that the Bush campaign can do. I hope they continue to keep their cojones.

F'da-A-rabs! Just wait until the next terror attack in the U.S. I would support locking down our borders and doing sweeps in all major cities.

The group is calling on Bush to remove a "Middle Eastern looking" man from an ad that focuses on terrorism. And replace it with what? A picture of a Viking?

ARAB-AMERICAN GROUP WHINING OVER BUSH ADNot altogether a bad thing. Would you rather have them assembling bombs? Those are the only two things I can think of that they are good at. Indiscriminate killing and whining.
An arab journalist had the b**ls to observe that the inferiority complex was justified, they can spend millions on machinery and technology from the infidel, yet no arab country is able to produce the tiniest screw that holds their cell phones together.
I wonder if they ever found his body?

Well, for what it's worth people seem to be paying less and less attention to these complaintsI hope this is so. Then again, maybe if the organized whinners keep complaining about the ads (and with this Pres war chest, there are lots more ads to come) it will tick off the undecideds and the apathetics so much they vote against them. Hmmm, now there's a nice thought (......*sigh*, a girl can dream, can't she?)

I suggest Mr. Zogby sit down and SHUT UP!

Whine all you want, a-holes. We'll consider other options when there's a sustained reign of terror from suicidal Lutherans.

They always say they "are the first to denounce it!" While this is a lie I do remember reading of a boat in NYC of passengers and the Muslims were laughing and having a great time that the WTC just fell down. If this was Roman times the middle east would be a parking lot.
