I came from a family of AFL-CIO workers, Democrats since getting off the boat on Ellis Island. I decided it was time for a change when I "grew up" and saw that the Democratic Party ofmy parents no longer existed. There is still a need for the Democratic Party, because there are millions of simple minded, uninformed, ignorant, freeloading individuals that need representation.

And so the story goes on. Why the apparent change of attitude? Simple: Bush won the Republican nomination in 2000. Now it's George W Bush vs Albert Gore, and the best possible outcome under these circumstances is a no-brainer (well... maybe I should say the best possible outcome is obvious to all but the totally brain dead). And now it repeats. Bush vs Kerry. And again I'll stand by George W. Bush. Thank you very much.
