City council members in Port Orange, Florida passed a controversial law that bans outdoor smoking in front of children at public parks and recreation properties, according to Local 6 News.
Port Orange council members said the smoking ban is to protect kids from second-hand smoke and to prevent them from starting in the first place.

There's more dangerous stuff in the exhaust from cars than from cigarettes yet I don't see anyone trying to ban second hand exhaust from our streets.

Those are statistics for AIDs deaths. Where's the comparison to smoking deaths? Both involve butts. You smoke 'em or poke 'em and it's still bad news.

You're absolutely right and what's bad about it is that tobacco products will eventually make the banned substances list right along with all the other illegal drugs. So the WOD's who were so adamant about why pot or other drugs should be illegal will find theirselves looking for their own illegal fix in the Blackmarket. Sound crazy? Yes it does. Is it impossible to have happen? Unfortunately, no.
