Fired Apprentice Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth hated by some of her fellow cast members got plenty of love Thursday at Ebony magazines awards luncheon.
Manigault-Stallworth, a guest, received hugs, kisses and requests for photos at the fifth annual event, which honors outstanding women in marketing and communications.
Among the honorees were CNN anchor Soledad OBrien, Fox Sports reporter Pam Oliver, BET Nightly News anchor Jacque Reid and television producer Suzanne de Passe.
Manigault-Stallworth, who was fired on March 4, was the most polarizing of the 16-member cast, frequently arguing with some of the other women on the NBC reality show, in which contestants vie for real estate mogul Donald Trumps favor and the dream job of a lifetime as his yearlong protege.
After her firing, the 30-year-old claimed former contestant Ereka Vetrini had called her the n-word. Vetrini has vigorously denied the allegation, as have executive producers Mark Burnett and Trump.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Manigault-Stallworth, a former political consultant, said her experience showed the problems of racism in corporate America.
Both of those gentlemen werent there, so I find it ironic that they would be so emphatic that something did not happen.
Vetrini has noted that contestants are taped constantly, and had such an incident occurred, it would have been caught on tape.
Believe me, I know what I experienced, Manigault-Stallworth said. Those women called me every name in the book on-camera. Imagine what they did off-camera. Imagine what they would say in the corridors.
Still, Manigault-Stallworth said she watches the show, which will end with a live two-hour finale on April 15. I may be the black sheep of that family, but Im certainly a part of that family.
Manigault-Stallworth is negotiating a book deal and a talk show, and is interested in doing political commentary for the upcoming presidential election.

I think it is a very strong possibility that she did get called the "n" word. It's not right.

Yeah getting fired had nothing to do with her faking injury, pissing off everyone on the show, insulting the celebrities in the auction, and playing basketball when she should have been helping on the task.

Her over the top bitchiness and extreme victimhood projection were obviously over the top regardless.
Her claims are exactly that...claims and speculation.
Her shrewness was painfully obvious.

But they are on camera 24-7 and the segment where she claimed to have been called the n-word was in a car (I watched it) and there's no way it could've happened off camera. The cameras were right in their faces.
Also, considering how 'assertive' Omarosa was I cannot imagine that she would've been called the n-word and have had such a mild reaction. Even if they left the actual bit off-screen, I'm sure she would've been tearing into Ereka.
I saw the segment. She's lying.

Her claims of racism are now a running gag in my household. Now, whenever someone does something to annoy me, I just pull the Omarosa b!tchy voice and sneer, "It's because I'm black, isn't it?"
Instant mood lightener right there.

No, Omarosa specified where it supposedly happened and it was in a scene in a van when they were driving around on one of the tasks. There is no way it's true. The cameras would've caught it and she would've had a conniption I'm sure, if it were true, that would've made it obvious even if that bit was left off-screen and everyone else was lying.

Ereka Vetrini had called her the ?n-word.?
I thought that she labeled it as the "n-bomb" like she does with the "f-bomb."
That's the only thing I got out of Omarosa was that phrase. I'm dropping bombs all over the place.

That witch worked in the Clinton White House so it's not tough to guess. She was an "appointments assistant" for V.P. Al Gore. In other words A SECRETARY. Nothing more. Not a "political appointee" like her lying "Apprentice" bio asserts. Not a "political consultant" like the show titles suggested. Just a former Gore underling. And apparently not even a good one at that
To: AntiGuv

She was just a horrible person. She still comes off as a mean, bitter bitch. Someone ought to take her aside and remind her that you get more bees with honey. I've known plenty of women like her in business though. She'll probably get ahead just because nobody has the energy to deal directly with her. But if there was ever a poster girl for using Race as a crutch, I'd have to say it was this lady.

I usually do not revel in others plight, but I rather enjoyed those two words thrust upon that itch with a "B", "Your Fired!". All her machinations before she got canned, it was so Clintonian !
But the cu-de gras was her statements in the car, that she was for Diversity and NO MAN was her adversary or something to that affect, get a life Wench, tell that to the 82nd ID and the Special Forces hunting for Osama that no man is there Adversary in the words of Bugs Bunny, What a Maroon....

Hey...did you see this from another thread today:
Lots of Omarosa gems in this:
Heard on the Hill: Former Gore staffer and fired candidate on "The Apprentice," Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth is contemplating a run for Congress or even 1600. However, she inflated her salary and her position with Gore in applying for another government job. Says one former top staffer, "You know the thing that bothers me the most about this is that we had a marvelous, committed, hard-working staff at the White House, and particularly in the VPs office. Now, because of that stupid TV show, who is the American public going to remember as having been on that staff? Omarosa, who was neither committed nor hard-working, and certainly not marvelous." Omarosa, who is raising money for the DNC, replies, "Im glad all of this stuff is coming out before I run for office.". . . http://www.wonkette.com/archives/gossip_roundup_boomers_and_their_sucky_music_edition_and_omarosa_013928.php>

When the lovely Mrs. B.S. Roberts and I watched the first couple of episodes and Omarosa's odd behavior, my wife made a statement that cut right to the heart of the matter.
My lovely wife turned to me and said, "That Omarosa surely does play a good victim. She has been schooled rather well in victimology, don't you think?"
