And where the hell was Jim's support? The founder of FreeRepublic and his wife confront a crowd of leftists in their home town on their own and with only one other FReeper as backup?

Something wrong with that, folks. JimRob and his wife oughtn't to be left out there by themselves. Someone dropped the ball on this. Surely there are some FReepers in the Fresno area who could have stood shoulder to shoulder with him on the street.

An organizer for a protest against the war in Iraq was arrested Saturday...on allegations he interfered with a police officer. Ken Hudson [is also] a teacher at Orange Center Elementary School.

This is what should have been boldfaced in the article.

If you love your children, pull them out of the Leftist-controlled indoctrination and brainwashing camps known as the Public Schools!

Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Bray said the unidentified man was accused by protesters of trying to incite them and that Hudson's actions kept them from talking with the man about his behavior.

So, ONE PERSON exercising his/her right to free speech was enough to unhinge these protestors, leading to the arrest of one of the "peaceniks"? Doesn't sound like these lefties can handle any opposing opinion.

Actually, there were five of us there (that I know of). Amerigomag was there earlier and I was late so we didn't hook up. At Bay was leaving just as we arrived. He knew they had it in for him, and being a gentle peace loving man, didn't want to risk another incident. Chris, Sheila and I stayed for most of the rally until the peaceniks started drifting away. Looked to me like most of them were pretty bored after the near riot was put down. Really wasn't much of a rally. I guess the incident with At Bay was their high point and it all went down hill from there. I reckon they'll be talking about the "unfairness of it all" for years.

The rest of our local FReepers were at other events, out of town or otherwise couldn't make it.

I posted earlier under the freep report update, should still be easy to find. I applaud the even-handedness of the Sheriff's department in the face of the intimidation Hudson tried to pull. The action taken by Hudson, in calling the police to try and silence me, hasn't worked before and won't work in the future.

He acted as though the Sheriff's were his own personal security force and actually directed them to take me elsewhere! Then he refused to back away despite being repeatedly warned. If he is in fact an elementary school teacher he sets a fine example of lawlessness for his students.

This group yesterday was more of a hard-core base, and it is unfortunate more people weren't there in opposition. One couple, with their kids present, told me that all the money in the world is changing color next week and that all the bankers know about it. I then asked her husband if he thought Bush ordered the attacks on 9-11 and he said "Of course". As he walked away I mentioned to his wife that free counseling is available in some form or other in most counties. If these words constitute a violation of the law, then none of us are safe.

One could say "You are a complete fruitcake." but that is non-productive and confrontational. Perhaps if she moves to a hallucinatory stage my words may be of some help to her.

Typically what happens when I dialogue with anyone in these mobs, when I use reason, they quickly clam up, as though by being drawn any further into discussion, all their half and quarter baked ideas are in peril. I have never resorted to verbal name-calling as all that proves is that someone has run out of persuasive ideas.

One fellow that hid from every camera shot, quickly fled when the authorities arrved, not to be seen again. Wonder what the bail was on his warrants.

I will continue to take pictures of these individuals when they are in public. It seems as though that now that the war is over, they are increasingly desperate to have a relevance and be noticed.

If you wonder why more people don't go to counter these individuals, it is not fun duty. To listen to their anti-american drivel droning on and on against one perceived injustice after another, well, it's not fun. I dreaded going, knowing their tactics and their intolerance of opposing opinions.

There were several young army and navy veterans standing with me shortly before I left, and of course they were incensed at a family just in front of us that had laid their american flag down on the ground.

These are american haters of the worst sort and maybe we can find out more about the Sheriff's deputy who kept a watchful eye on them prior to his death a few weeks ago, and find a way to honor him.

Whose been making the inflamatory remarks today?

Freepers or lefty provacateurs?

SNAG A FREEPER, FRAME HIM UP, ALL DAY LONG YOU'LL HAVE GOOD LUCK

If you have an affinity group, gather near one or more FReepers.

One or more persons is the designated "victim."

Two or more persons are the designated "witnesses."

One or more persons locates a police officer.

All decide on the "assault" that the FReeper(s) are to commit upon the victim(s), and witnesses agree on what they shall witness.

Photograph the designated criminal FReeper(s) and all nearby FReepers.

At least one member of the affinity group locates a police officer, describes the crime committed by the FReeper(s), and brings the officer over to the designated crime scene to take a report and make an arrest

And over here:

http://www.peopleforchange.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=5972

We find this:

"Hey, scroll down to the comments on that Indymedia page and read the whitehot hate screeds of joe freeper, leftists are gay, and johnny nelson."

"Real pieces of work, aren't they? Folks, you may be facing THEM one day. Be ready."

Of course there are no FReepers by those names and the alleged FReeper comments were actually planted on indymedia.org by lefties.

If you love your children, pull them out of the Leftist-controlled indoctrination and brainwashing camps known as the Public Schools!

Absolutely right.
The two most dangerous organizations in America right now are the NEA and the democRat party.

NEA Principle One:
PRINCIPLE I Commitment to the Student

The educator strives to help each student realize his or her potential as a worthy and effective member of society. The educator therefore works to stimulate the spirit of inquiry, the acquisition of knowledge and understanding, and the thoughtful formulation of worthy goals. -- What they really mean is: The only stimulation of spririt in this regard is towards socialism and world government.

In fulfillment of the obligation to the student, the educator--

Shall not unreasonably restrain the student from independent action in the pursuit of learning. --They should not restrain independent action in the pursuit of learning at all and especially in the United States.

Shall not unreasonably deny the student's access to varying points of view. --This doesn't even deserve comment but what they really mean is any point of view contrary to socialsim, communism, Islam (Remember one persons terrorist is another persons freedom fighter and the distinction of military targets and civilians does not apply and we must have done something to deserve 9-11), world government, etc.

Shall not deliberately suppress or distort subject matter relevant to the student's progress. --What a joke. The whole curriculum is revisionist history and fuzzy math. No need to go into whether anyone can read or write English when they graduate.

Shall make reasonable effort to protect the student from conditions harmful to learning or to health and safety. --Wow! One principle that is really helpful to students. Too bad the feel good, no discipline psycoanalyst BS that is prevalent in the profession counters this principle out.

Shall not intentionally expose the student to embarrassment or disparagement. -- What they really mean is: Unless they are conservatives. Then we can label them racist, uncaring, devils, war mongers, etc.

Shall not on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, national origin, marital status, political or religious beliefs, family, social or cultural background, or sexual orientation, unfairly

a. Exclude any student from participation in any program
b. Deny benefits to any student -- What they really mean is: Unless its a conservative or traditional American program.

c. Grant any advantage to any student -- What they really mean is:Unless they are non-conservatives or non-traditional americans.

Shall not use professional relationships with students for private advantage. -- What they really mean is:Unless they are journalism students.

Shall not disclose information about students obtained in the course of professional service unless disclosure serves a compelling professional purpose or is required by law.--What they really mean is: A compelling professional purpose means the advocation of socialism and income redistributon at any costs so giving dirt on any conservative helps promote the cause.

WOW.

What would the wisdom be, Jim,

In having a copy of that obviously printed off the website--perhaps with a statement of their treasonous 'ideals' from the same website

AT EVERY FREEP.

Give a copy to the head law enforcement with the printed and verbal comment that FREEPERS are persistently law abiding and cooperative but don't cotton to such evil manipulations.

Perhaps the incrimminating docs from the site need to be gathered ASAP before they get more wiley.

Perhaps other copies could be given to any other law enforcement standing near FREEPERS and an encouragement for them to be alert toward preventing such.

What do you think?

A possibility, but I think remote. He acted very erraticaly and did the menacing walk towards me which I doubt LE would do. Other pics I have remind me of the early Scott Peterson photos, where he wore a baseball cap and kept his head low (prior to him realizing his Fresno g.f. knew it was him). One must either affirm or reject conservative principles. He who defends the liberals harms his own people. One can only be a liberal lackey or a liberal opponent. Opposing the liberal is a matter of personal hygiene.
