He basically called Clark a liar. Rice on her part looked shaken to me. The impression I got was that she couldn't believe that this guy was trying to rewrite history and would stab her in the back. I'm more than convinced that those who hate Bush are completely blinded because of this hate.

I disagree. Rice looked
angry. She went through Clarke like a hot knife through warm butter.
She's seen this before, and she doesn't like it. And I agree with her. It's assclown stuff. Trust me on this: she isn't shaken; she's angry. On ABC's GMA, she had to sit there and listen to Clarke give his spiel for almost ten minutes. When Gibson turned to her it was like watching a thoroughbred bolt out of the gate. She lit into Clarke, then into his arguments. She's angry, and Bush and Rove said, "Do your worst, Condi!" VERY nice to see how quickly the WH is at shooting this down.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

He basically called Clark a liar. Rice on her part looked shaken to me. It's unfortunate - but Condi's voice always quavers, and for those completely dull to the facts (meaning most 'Rats), it may sound like she's not telling the truth. However, her points and arguments are incisive and impossible for 'Rats to refute.

Bush just did NOT learn from history; You cannot keep Clinton hold overs around and expect them to have loyalty to the COUNTRY...they are loyal to the DEMOCRATIC party ONLY...Bush should have cleaned house (particularly at the State Department).

Rice on her part looked shaken to me. I think maybe Condi is a bit shaken -- shaken with fury. She normally is completely serene and totally composed -- but this barrage from Dems, the partisan media, the partisan 9-11 panel, and now this former member of her staff have to be taking their toll.
I don't know if I've ever seen a more consistently perfect public figure, in terms of her dealings with the press, public, etc., than Condi. If she appears a bit "off", I think that's because we've come to expect perfection and with all of the missiles coming in from left field, I think it is only natural for her to be a bit off kilter.
Still: she's better than anyone the Dems can hold up. I'm glad the Bushies are now getting out to defend their record.

She looked fine to me. Her voice always sounds a bit shaky. This morning she lost most of that quivering pretty fast since she was so mad.

Condi Rice didn't look shaken to me. She did, however, look angry as all get out. :o)
