BURNING CHURCHES (HUMANITARIAN'S ANTHEM)
MIDI: CLICK HERE for Burning Bridges (Curb/Schifrin)
Christians all tried to warn me
But I held my head up high
All the time they warned me
But I only passed them by
They all tried to tell me
But I guess I didn't care
I turned my back and
Left them standing there
All the burning churches that have fallen after me
All the murdered Christians and the burning monasteries
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning churches lost forevermore
Joey tried to help me find a soul
A while ago
When I finally learn the truth I didn't want let the lies go
The facts Mary gave to me
When I just walked away
Now there's nothing left to say
All the burning churches that have fallen after me
All the murdered Christians and the burning monasteries
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning churches lost forevermore
Years have passed and I keep thinking
What a scum I've been
I look back into the past and
I know that I lost humanity I thought I that could win
I guess I shouldn't have listened to the spin
All the burning churches that have fallen after me
All the murdered Christians and the burning monasteries
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning churches lost forevermore
Burning Churches lost forever

NEWS
Information Service of
the Serbian Orthodox Church
March 20, 2004
LIST OF CHURCHES DESTROYED IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA THUS FAR, MAR. 17-19, 2004
"DEATH TO SERBS"
Below is a list of churches and church buildings regarding which the Diocese has received information that they were destroyed in the riots occurring between March 17 and March 19, 2004. In process is the intensive verification of all data, especially in the area of Prizren where there are indications that all Orthodox churches have been destroyed. In Urosevac, Athens News Agency advised this morning that members of Greek KFOR have abandoned protection of three church buildings. The only thing that they were able to confirm is that the church of the Holy King Uros in Urosevac has been burned. In any case, it can be officially said that at least 16 churches have been destroyed (according to UNMIK confirmation). It is entirely possible that the number exceeds 20 (on the basis of information arriving in the Diocese of Raska and Prizren). Together with the 112 churches already destroyed or heavily damaged since the beginning of the UNMIK "peace mission" in June 1999, over 130 Orthodox holy shrines in Kosovo and Metohija have been destroyed or demolished. Two churches in Lipljan apparently have not yet been destroyed even though initial reports indicated that they were under attack.
This list will be added to or amended as needed as the Diocese receives new information regarding the destruction of Orthodox churches in Kosovo and Metohia:
1. Orthodox Cathedral of the Most Holy Mother of God of Ljevis, 14th century (Prizren)
2. Church of Holy Salvation, 14th century (Prizren)
3. Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Great Martyr George, 20th century (Prizren)
4. Holy Archangels Monastery, 14th century (Prizren)

They are eliminating 1000 years of Christian history while Western Europe cowers before Islam.

Rebecca West would be turning over in her grave. She was so appreciated the monasteries, churches, and icons, and she enjoyed talking to the monks, priests and observing the worshippers in Kosovo and Macedonia. Did you ever read her "Black Lamb and Grey Falcon", which ranked among the 100 best non-fiction books of the 20th century?

I'm sorry Kosta - I don't know who says they will rebuild these churches at least. At this point I wish Russia would just set aside some part of their country and move all the Serbs there, then give them a new country of Serbia.
I'm tired of the Serbs suffering. Let them start over somewhere new, give it all up, whatever. They deserve some peace.

I am being sarcastic, MarMema. The Kosovo so-called "government" officially "condemned" the violence and church burnigns and "promised" to rebuild something that cannot be rebuilt. Reported by Belgrade-based B92 Quisling news service.
The Albanians know that the heart of Serbia is where the Monasteries are -- hence Kosovo (Kosovo Polye, Blackbird's Field) and Metohia (Greek for land of monasteries). The Serbian soul is in those churches and the Albanian thugs know that.
My ancestors stood in those churches 1,000 years ago and prayed in the same language we pray in today. They are burning me and they are burning all the Serbs.
But let me convey a little piece of truth: The Turks, who brought the Religion of Hate, took the remains of the father of the Serbian Orthodoxy, Saint Sava, Rastko by birth, and burned them to ashes in their primitive hopes that this would deplete the Serb zeal to be free and to free Kosovo once again. Instead of putting out the fires of rebellion, the Turkes only fanned them -- for every ash served as a new flame for the Serbs to persist until the hated occupier was driven out of Europe.
The Turks even built a tower in whose mortar they encased the severed heads of Serb rebels. The tower is know as the Chele Kula (the Skull Tower). It purpose was to scare. Instead it served to enrage.
Albanian thugs are short-sighted fools. They are paving a thorny road for their children, for they will reap the consequences of their fathers' folly. May God help them.
For the record: even the Turks, in their almost 500-year occupation of Serb lands, has respect for holy places and left Serb Christian monasteries in tact. Albaninas, who are the last remnants of humanoid cavemen in Europe, who have no culture, no art, no literatureature, no history, naturally have no respect for anything. The only thing they have is America to back them up.
For, let it not be forgotten that Sen. Lieberman told the Washington Post on April 28, 1999: "The United States of America and the Kosovo Liberation Army stand for the same human values and principles...Fighting for the KLA is fighting for human rights and American values." Coming from a Jew with close ties to Israel. Shame.

The desecration of icons, churches, and monasteries, and the pogroms against our Serbian brothers and sisters in Christ make me cry as well. Remember "The Passion of the Christ"! The Shiptar islamoNazi KLA and their "human rightser" allies crucify our Lord anew!!!!
The "human rightsers", feminazis, and gays are a triple plague upon "Western" society!!!!While the "human rightsers' " Shiptar pets perpetrate atrocity upon atrocity upon Kosovo Serbs, the same "human rightsers" work to ethnically cleanse orthodox Lutherans and Anglicans out of their churches here at home, using the "gay issue"!!!! Then they work to change the definition of marriage in civil society as well as in the church. This will only serve to destroy America and Western Europe just as surely as these "human rightser" miscreants are working to destroy Serbia!!!
The Shiptar and "Bosniak" apologists in the US are new versions of Judas, Caiaphas, and Pilate!!!!

Jews understand genocide.
Of course, so does Serbia. But not quite the same way.

Racists? SERBS? Gibbering, mindless bigots who have to imagine that everyone but them are lower on the evolutionary scale in order to pat themselves on the back?
Never.
